Tom Gold is an illustrator and author of comics originally from Scotland. He already has four comic books (three of them were published in Russian), and his works are regularly published by The Guardian, The New York Times and New Scientist (hence so many jokes about science and scientists). Gold jokes a lot about what he knows (the work of the author and the editor and journalism), but not only - there are, for example, Trump's comics, politics and The Handmaid's Tale.
