If you still decide on new clothes, treat the selection of the autumn wardrobe with full responsibility. We asked the stylists - people who work with clothes every day - what is the best place to invest this season.
Perhaps the main trend that can be easily adapted to Moscow realities is down jackets. A correct down jacket should be voluminous, not too short (what's the point then?), Without an elastic belt, faux-fur rims on a collar or hood. In general, minimalistic and simple. Down jackets do not need to be worn with uggs or chucks - the chelsea boots, ankle boots with thick heels or plain white sneakers are perfect. I advise you to fit them into classic looks with trousers, loose shirts or voluminous sweaters.
It is important to pay attention to the bag. Since the down jacket itself is large and soft, for balance it is better to add an accessory of a rigid form - models from thin leather will not be the best option. A good down jacket is much more difficult to buy than a good coat, so if you find the perfect one, do not spare money. In our climate, this purchase will justify itself. Unfortunately, I can’t name one particular mass-market brand that consistently produces beautiful down jackets, but now good models at an affordable price can be found in Monki and Mango.
It seems to me that today there is no point in talking about trends in the broad sense of the word. No one is running to dress in a certain style, but just goes crazy on a cool thing or one or two collections. The coolest purchases (and topical) of this season are, of course, a down jacket like Raf Simons or Yang Li, white ankle boots and generally white shoes, a sand coat with an unusual cut, vinyl things or anything made of patent leather, a suit with a skirt , suit jacket, sweatshirt volumetric, as if borrowed from the boyfriend's wardrobe, boots, coat or jacket made of sheepskin or his eco-analogue. In fact, nothing new. Fashion has become so utilitarian that now you can even find white shoes (which I ran to buy back in May), which will be a good idea to wear in Moscow.
Hoodie Vetements or any XXL size on ASOS are equally good, and fashionable and comfortable shoes can be found in Topshop. I bought my white shoe boots there. Nike or North Face down jacket is also no worse than designer Exercise. And I would pay special attention to the new U line in Uniqlo. Quality and cut - absolutely unprecedented. In general, every autumn it is worth buying high-quality outerwear: a coat of cashmere, for example. I ordered an unreal double-sided coat from Litkovskaya cashmere and half a collection of A.W.A.K.E. - from trousers to blouses and shirts. They became my main purchases of autumn.
It is hard not to notice that all current collections strictly follow the maximum volume rule. This also applies to outerwear. Moscow winter, we are unlikely to freeze in huge down jackets, such as Marques' Almeida or Balenciaga. If you are not ready to give a fortune for the creation of leading designers, then do not worry. You can visit any department of sporting goods and find a daddy-sized ski jacket there - she will become your faithful companion in the coming months.
In my opinion, an insulated trench of an interesting cut can become an ideal thing this season. This is a classic that perfectly complement any image. Of course, autumn will not do without durable, reliable shoes, for example, on the platform. Find your perfect pair can be in workwear stores. Start paying attention to brown - a great alternative to black. Do not be afraid to wear intricate tights like grandmother's leggings. Combine them with a rough jacket like a Prada, and with delicate dresses like Chanel.
For me, the autumn-winter season is always the greatest freedom in choosing clothes. The word "layers" is my favorite. Specifically, this fall, I am extremely sympathetic to all types of wool of natural tones in combination with the skin of the same shades (a bright example - Hermes) and, of course, oversize. The recommendation is quite simple: as always, this is a base and a monochrome - it is difficult to make a mistake with this. Stylistically, it doesn’t matter what you choose - the main thing is that all combinations are either of the same range (as in Sacai), or even of the same color. For me personally, the voluminous coat and turtleneck, which migrated from past seasons, is still the main uniform of the fall. I really want things from suede, but given the weather conditions, I will not translate products.
This season I was lucky: the latest trends are ideally related to my habit of wearing sports and evening clothes in one image. And I waited for my color: a lot of designers made black monochrome collections, moreover, both adhering to the classical silhouette and experimenting with it: from my favorite Aganovich and Lena Lumelsky to Valentino (for the first time in my life I liked the collection of this brand). However, the basic black things can be anything depending on the preferences in the materials (hint: cashmere - from Uniqlo).
The main trouble: a lama coat, bought a couple of seasons ago, will have to be replaced with a big down jacket. And really big: overseas has become even more, and the shoulder line has dropped even lower. The winters in Moscow and New York turn down fashion until spring, but a down jacket or a bomber jacket will show the owner as a progressive, democratic person, aware of the state of fashion. I can only add that this season I like jackets not of Acne and Vetements, but of Stella McCartney.
With a rough or sports outerwear, things are perfectly combined with a golden sheen. The closest smoke of the skirts are Ann Demeulemeester, leather Maryam Nasir Zadeh and tuxedo Dries Van Noten. However, the mass market probably already picked up this easy-to-produce idea. The image can be finished with boots or coarse, massive boots. The second necessary bourgeois object is a velvet or silk robes, which should be worn as a coat. I totally trust my fellow H. In general, if the lace-up front boots do not get out of my head, you need to decide right now. With rare exceptions, sneakers and sneakers will also be appropriate everywhere. There are many design versions, but I always advocate classic models for Converse, adidas Originals, ASICS, Reebok and Nike. There is no need to fear that white sneakers will get dirty: Raf Simons proved this last summer and showed “worn” versions of Stan Smith. This has its charm.
I myself plan to invest in jewelry as much as possible: for several years now I have been following AMBUSH and can easily imagine how I will walk with their chokers with nails and bracelets in the form of barbed wire.
