Wild Vovchik - a seal that never loved people
"GUILTY PLEASURE" IS TRANSLATED AS A "SHAME OF PLEASURE". Frankly, we have long been not ashamed of things that like or are of interest - just a convenient phrase.
We have long been following with great pleasure the fate of Kroshik, a ringed baby of the Ladoga seal, who ended up in the rehabilitation center of the “Fund of Friends of the Baltic Seal” and stayed with people. But today we are not talking about Kroshik, who likes to cuddle and refuses to float back to Ladoga, but about the pinniped with a completely different character and fate - Dick Vovchik. As you understand, he got the nickname not accidentally: Vladimir, so named after the bay, where he was found and rescued, made people understand from the very beginning that he was with them for a while - according to animal protection people, he bite, despite exhaustion, and three months in a rehabilitation center did not make friends with his staff.
As they say in the public “Rescue of Seals”, Vladimir “was not a child and never tried to become them”: unlike other inhabitants of the center, Vovchik did not trust people to the last and was looking for ways to escape. On September 11, Vovchik was released into Lake Ladoga - the animal defenders hope that he will live a long wild life and they will never meet again. In the comments, Vovchik wants "happy, fish and deserted life", as well as praise for non-conformism and integrity. The Petersburg paper "Paper" sadly states that as soon as the seal got into the water, "it quickly swam away and did not even look back." Good luck, Vovchik, stay wild!
