Bookmarks: Hundreds of art books from the Solomon Guggenheim Museum

IN RUBRIC "IN BOOKMARKS" We talk about websites and online services - both useful and completely useless, but funny and amazing - which, in fact, should be added to favorites or added to the RSS-feed.

The internet archive

The American Museum of Solomon Guggenheim laid out in open access more than two hundred books on art - they can be found on the website of the non-profit online library The Internet Archive. There are books about artists (Roe Lichtenstein, Mark Rothko, Wassily Kandinsky, and many others) and certain areas and periods in art (mostly about modern, but there are, for example, books about Aztecs and about Chinese art of the twentieth century), and catalogs of exhibitions held in the museum. All are available in a variety of formats, including ePub and PDF. In addition, the page has a convenient filter system and search by collection.
