Healthy habits of brand manager Lena Taraskina

Wellbeing - This is a state of harmony with oneself and the world, when my body reciprocates my love. For this I need a dream, sports, proper nutrition and psychological relief.

I redid the balcony in my apartment: I increased the windowsill, bought high bar stools, warmed the walls and painted white. That's where I start my day - with oatmeal and watching social networks. What is missing is a view of the sea or mountains.

When I was five years old, my parents gave me circus acrobatics.and since then sport has been an integral part of my life; I tried basketball, tennis, snowboarding, boxing, skiing - and not only. A couple of years ago I went to Malta for a whole month, and on the very first day I bought running shoes. The seashore, the comfortable weather, the passers-by smiling at each other — everything was convenient for the start of my running history.

I am quite meticulously approached the question: studied the pronation of the foot (the type of pronation is a way of setting the foot when walking and running; at the same time, the foot can "collapse" inward or outward or be in a neutral position. - Ed.) and picked up the sneakers, achieved the right technique of running, I drink enough liquid and train according to the plan with the calculated running and power load prepared by an experienced trainer. I desperately do not like weight training - but I have to admit that I started running progress after adding them to the plan. Now four or five times a week I run and once or twice I go to Nike NTC strength training.

Last September, I ran my first marathon. I had a goal - to finish, but not to be killed. I finished with a smile, and spent the evening in the bath with a glass of champagne. Marathon is not easy, but with a long preparation it is quite an achievable goal. I realized that 21 kilometers is a very comfortable distance for the race, and 42 is a way out of my running comfort zone. I like to run a full marathon a couple of times a year in cities where I haven’t been, and this year it’s Kazan in May and Iceland in August.

To be perfect is boring.. Sometimes I can drink an extra glass of wine, I can break off and leave at night with a friend to the movies (and sleepy and wrinkled in the morning to go to work) or eat a croissant, and then think and take two more. But I do not drive and scold myself.

I can not take food as fuel: I like to eat and drink red dry wine (even during the preparation for the marathon I sometimes allow myself a glass). Another thing is that I began to choose a slightly different set of products, I do not care what goes inside. I used to be a desperate sweet tooth, but now I prefer bitter chocolate or a handful of dates. I cook perfectly, but I do it infrequently - for example, when guests come.

Once I realized that I constantly feel tired and elementary lack of sleep - and decided to introduce a regime. I go to bed and wake up on weekdays at about the same time, and at the weekend I allow myself to sleep for an hour more. Be sure to open the window and without working mail, starting an hour before bedtime.

My job is related to the marketing of sports brands. I can not say that it opened me any special doors or opportunities, but gave a lot of new acquaintances and people who are passionate about sports and active life.

I travel a lot on my ownI always throw sneakers in my backpack and try to run in new places in the morning. I travel a lot, I can walk forty-fifty thousand steps a day. If you can refuse to transport - refuse. Of course, traveling is a great opportunity to try new activities.

In Sri Lanka, I climbed the peak of Adam (night seven-kilometer walk on 5700 steps). In Germany, immediately after a working trip, I arrived at the lake of crazy beauty Eibsee and went through a simple trekking route around it - three hours of sheer delight. I do not like a bike, but in Amsterdam I rent it every time to feel a little local.

I taught myself to eat oatmeal or scrambled eggs - and, for example, last July, traveling to Spain, suffered because standard breakfast in coffee houses was limited to coffee and croissant. Back in my good habits, sleep with the windows open and plenty of water with lemon. I would like to eat more organic vegetables and fruits, but unripe avocados and the same tomatoes in the supermarket kill this desire in the bud. I would like to introduce morning exercises or asanas into my schedule, but for now I prefer to oversleep these minutes.

The most useful health adviceI received: to love my body. I am completely comfortable in my body and at my age.

Running and favorite music - This is the perfect combination that helps me to relieve tension after a working day. I also often go to exhibitions and theaters, meet and dine with friends, take part in sports events, constantly look for new themes for self-development - recently, for example, I listened to the cello performed by Ilya Rubinstein, being in the hall with the originals of Ayvazovsky in the Center Arts on Volkhonka. It was pure delight, to goosebumps, and a wonderful reboot.
