Make-up techniques that are considered mistakes - and in vain
Masha Vorslav
From year to year sources of varying degrees of influence they list “sins” in make-up, among the most popular are regularly included, for example, asymmetric arrows, imperfect skin tone, eyebrows too dark, and so on. We believe that one should approach everything consciously and not forget that makeup is a game in which you set the rules. In confirmation of this, we analyze classical “mistakes”, which in fact can not only organically fit into the image, but also make it special.
Asymmetry
In a conventional classic make-up (remembering Betty Draper or a good half of the images of the red carpet) symmetry is really welcome, but, as we have said, this makeup emphasizes facial features and improves them in the eyes of the general public. However, in cases where it is not necessary to be serious, asymmetry does not destroy the harmony at all: the arrows can be deliberately different, you can stick on rhinestones or stickers only on one side of the face, leave graphic accents too.
Lack of tone
We have repeatedly mentioned the strobe, which can be the main mass trend in makeup. In fact, it can be interpreted more broadly than mere enthusiasm for highlighters. Its main function is to imitate the natural radiance of the skin with the help of a shimmer, but it can be achieved in other ways. For example, to put off foundation or powder, and only in some places to use concealer, if the pigmentation of some areas is very bad, and you are confused, the skin just will not be unnaturally matte. In general, a full-fledged mask of several tonal means is far from an indispensable part of any make-up, and today it is also outdated.
Pearlescent products
Mother of pearl and, in general, any texture with an abundant amount of a shimmer, many people are worried for obvious reasons: it is believed that for an organic image, such luxury-seeking things need to either be matched or ingeniously compensated. If you look like a drag-quin does not fit into your plans, cope with mother-of-pearl cosmetics easier than ever - you can make it the only accent in make-up.
Lips contour
"Kissed" lips, as they like to call this effect, have recently been approved at all levels as an excellent version of informal makeup. But it may be appropriate even with a dress code (unless, of course, the dress code allows lipstick at all) for a banal reason: deviations of one millimeter from the natural border of the lips are often visible only to the makeup media. By the way, the shape of the lips does not necessarily have to be the same all the time: its small alterations can significantly - and interestingly - change the appearance.
Brow color unnatural
It is surprising that today there are still requirements for the color of eyebrows. Explain this rigor, perhaps, the desire for naturalness, which never ceases to be relevant. Nevertheless, besides natural-looking solutions, there are a number of equally interesting ones, and changing the color of the eyebrows is one of them. You can make them colored, or you can make them contrast with your hair. In other words, both the whitened brows of brunettes and black blondes have the same right to exist as natural ones.
Mascara printed on the eyelids
Makeup, as if you did not wash away yesterday's Smokey Aiz, make-up artists offer from year to year, but few people use it outside the catwalk. And in vain: he not only can save time and nerves to those who, for coloring eyelashes, manages to plaster the whole eyelid into mascara, but also to raise the usual dramatic eye makeup to a new level. Note that if the natural pattern from the carcass does not seem attractive enough to you, you can add or wipe it - in the direction of symmetry or not.
Contrast lip contour
According to the general opinion, the lip contour should be outlined with a pencil of a shade close to lipstick or transparent wax (a decent one, for example, Dior has one). Again, this is true for classic makeup, and in other situations you can make a lip pencil not an auxiliary, but the main element of makeup. The choice is big: for example, you can circle the lips with black and fill with sparkles, and you can reduce the contrast in ombre.
"Imperfect" manicure
To begin with, there is nothing catastrophic about a small chip on the nail and you shouldn’t allow such trifles to spoil your mood for the whole day. Larger inaccuracies - in the sense of peeling varnish - may be even more relevant if you, for example, do not want to look emasculated. The absence of lacquer fits perfectly into the minimalistic image that flows from the active lifestyle of a modern person, and does not look like a flaw.
Few accents in makeup
The most common "mistake" according to the conductors of beauty of various colors. In fact, accents can be one, two, three, four, and may not be at all. Proponents of an outdated approach about a single accent appeal to the fact that a richly painted face looks aggressive and even “not like a woman” rudely, but in 2015, holding on to femininity as the fundamental feature of the image and the person in general is archaism.
"Strange" colors and tricks
If someone needs to establish the main rule in make-up, it should be formulated as follows: no one except you knows how it should be. So if suddenly you missed with a hint of shadows or lipstick, you didn’t shade the shadows as neatly as you would like, or overdo it with blushes, the best thing to do is to relax and pretend that it should be so. After all, how everything should be, nobody really knows.
