The 23-year-old Swede, Hampus Luke, was spotted on the street when he was returning home from a party. “I saw one man follow me for about five or ten minutes and looked at me very strangely. It was an old Italian, a scout from my mother agency. He asked if I was a model and gave me a business card,” Hampus says. At first, Luke accepted this offer as a joke of friends, but still sent one photo to the agency. Soon he was sent to "Fashion Week" in Milan. In his family, Hampus is not the first to decide to become a model. The brother of a fashion model, who is four years older than him, tried many times to get into different agencies, but he was refused everywhere. Like the rest of the family, he supported his brother at the beginning of his career.
In Milan, during the men's shows FW 2011, Hampus debuted on Giorgio Armani, Iceberg and several more shows. The following season, he went to two cities - New York and Milan. Among other things, Luke twice went to Salvatore Ferragamo, at the last moment to find out what opens the show. He could not come to the castings last season, because he signed an exclusive contract with Tom Ford. After the show he was offered to play for the lookbook collection. Soon after, Hampus auditioned for the Yves Saint Laurent fragrance ad. Before the casting, he thought that this name was not a brand, but a place, and he understood everything only when he saw the logo. In the end, he played a small role in advertising YSL Parisienne. Now the male model is preparing for the men's shows SS 2013, which will begin on June 23.
