Video of the day: seven outstanding women about career and feminism

The Guardian shot an inspiring video in which seven prominent women talk about their careers and the difficulties they had to face. The movie’s heroes were Marie Black, a member of the House of Commons, who became a deputy in 20 years, Somali activist Nimko Ali, opposing female circumcision, director Ava Duvernay, experimental physics professor Aten M. Donald, Oscar-winning Meryl Streep and Nobel Peace Prize winner Leima Gbovi Samantha Power, an American political scientist and journalist who won the Pulitzer Prize in 2003.

“I didn’t think about a career. It was supposed that I would marry at 25, start a family and that would all be over. Then it was the norm,” said Aten M. Donald. “For me, this is as obvious as global warming,” she shared her opinion. “How can anyone seriously believe that there should be no more women in politics?” Meryl Streep emphasized that a lot of “chatter” is needed for changes for the better: “People sigh:“ God, are we going to talk about women's rights again? “Yes, we will talk about it until equality comes.”
