About cosmetics

I have a capricious, very sensitive skin that reacts to everything at all, so I try to choose pharmacy and natural cosmetics. I pick up the care for a long time, until I find the perfect remedy - and then I buy it in several bottles. At the same time I often consult with those who understand all this and have already read all the necessary books for me. I try to go more often to my beautician, who always tells me the same thing: Alena, there’s enough work to do, go to the country house — you have fresh air, you get enough sleep, make yourself an oil mask and look great. I love my beautician, in general.

I don’t really like to use decorative cosmetics, I'd rather devote my morning to some pleasant activities. However, there are exceptions: I like to go out with red lipstick and red varnish. This is a great feeling that you need to use in order to tune in to some important meeting where it is important to be heard.

About minimalism

I set up an experiment last year: every month I changed my country of residence. It was not a journey, but the constant movement and maintenance of oneself at the borders of the comfort zone. Pretty soon it became clear that the things that seemed necessary in Moscow were not really needed. On the road, I prefer to always do with only hand luggage. Then I discovered The Minimalists, read their book, was inspired. In short: I truly enjoy everything I own. Moreover, the less things I have, the more consciously I choose each of them. Only the best remains. Someone from the "minimalists" believes that things should be less than 100 or even 50, but this is not so important. My cosmetic bag is always tiny, and there is only the most beloved. The rest is bought on demand, in small bottles and quite rarely.

About body knowledge

I always thought that getting up before 12 was terrible, and I worked at night. Then I somehow found out that if it was to wake up at five in the morning, the day would be perfect - always, by default. You get up at five, you are in a good mood, you are cheerful, no one else touches you, and you can finish everything. At the same time, there are forces left to rest somewhere and go to bed at midnight. And if you work at night, you need to sleep at least eight hours. How it works, I do not know, installed empirically. In general, it is interesting to find some piece that works for you - you tune your body, a purely research interest in it wakes up. I also noticed that if it is not possible to adjust the work mode and get tired of it, the body itself will require movement. Therefore, in difficult periods I can run 15 kilometers - running perfectly balances energy.
