Founder of the Arctic Explorer Ksenia Chilingarov about favorite outfits

FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE"we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week our heroine is the founder of the Arctic Explorer brand Ksenia Chilingarova.

I have always loved interesting things with an intricate design - an unusual form or with prints of modern artists. From here, my passion for the fashion house Prada: Miuccia Prada turns to modern art and street art, Oriental motifs and origami. The stranger the thing, the more likely it is to get into my wardrobe. For example, Vetements and Balenciaga dresses cannot be worn without help, and Maison Margiela cannot be removed. One gets the feeling that modern couturiers are being bullied. Now I am obsessed with men's things, so thirty percent of my wardrobe consists of them. Men's collections reflect modern trends more brightly, adapt to them faster, and they are also cheaper - besides, the probability of meeting a girlfriend in a Raf Simons jacket at a social event is minimal.

I am not a shopaholic - rather a collector. After weeks of fashion I know for sure what things I need to get, and how it doesn’t matter, although I don’t like to buy without fitting In online stores, everything appears earlier, so I periodically monitor mytheresa.com, matchesfashion.com, net-a-porter.com. In Moscow, I am looking for clothes in KM20, SVMoscow, Nata4Tsum. In Paris, I go to Colette, Ports and monobrand boutiques Céline, Balenciaga, Loewe on Avenue Montaigne. For me, the shopping center in London is Dover Street Market. I cherish the flea markets and vintage shops; The best in Moscow is Vintage Voyage. There I can always find a Givenchy dress from the 50s, Dior 70s and Chanel 40s. From a business trip to Japan, I brought a vintage streetwear of the 90s.

Gosha Rubchinskiy suit, Walk of Shame shirt, plaid and shoes - Céline

The Gosha Rubchinskiy suit proves my love for things from the man’s shoulder. The jacket sat surprisingly well, but the trousers, as always, had to be handed over in the atelier. Not every thing I can wear at once - most of them have to be shortened, hemmed or insignificantly changed (for example, to cut off shiny buttons).

Gosha Rubchinskiy jacket, Maison Margiela skirt, blouse and ankle boots - Balenciaga, Himère earrings

Peas - the second favorite pattern after the cell; here I mixed both adorable prints. I rarely wear accessories, except for such glasses with diopters, but this is a necessary measure. I think Himère's earrings will be an exception - the designer presented them.

Nina Donis costume, Balenciaga earrings, Hender Scheme boots

When I came to a business dinner in a Nina Donis suit, my interlocutor, puzzled, looked at me for a long time, and then said: "It’s hard for me to take seriously the person who came to the meeting in his pajamas."

Rochas sweater, Calvin Klein skirt, Céline shoes, J.W.Anderson earrings

Skirt Calvin Klein perfectly fit into my wardrobe - I wear it so much with various sweaters and jackets, which is surprising, as she still has not bothered. Sweater brought girlfriend from St. Petersburg. Recently, I often ask her about it: in the concept store Babochka you can find things that have long been sold out in the capital.

Prada costume, Marni turtleneck, Balenciaga sandals

I love color-blocking and layered bows, so I have long sought out Marni turtlenecks. I had to order in the online store, however, it was a fiasco - the thing turned out to be sleeveless, which is unpleasant in Moscow in the winter.

Jil Sander dress, Céline sandals

In this dress Jil Sander, I fell in love immediately after the show in Milan. He brought me a girlfriend from a trip to St. Petersburg. It's great that we have one size with her and could not worry about landing things.

Coat Macintosh, vintage shirt, Topshop T-shirt, Balenciaga jeans, Common Projects sneakers, Off-White bag

Vintage shirts from Japan and checkered mac. I have long noticed my slight insanity in the cage, but I can’t do anything - this is my favorite print.

Arctic Explorer jacket, top and skirt - Balenciaga, Common Projects sneakers

Of course, in this bow I will talk about the park Arctic Explorer - this model is from the FW 18-19 collection. I wear my jackets every day, they are irreplaceable in Moscow winter. Even on a secular evening I wear a down coat over a cocktail dress. For some models, I specifically designed wide sleeves so that the park could be worn with oversized sweaters and jackets.

Nina Donis sweater, Off-White skirt, bag and ankle boots - Balenciaga

My friends started to buy me a sexy skirt - of course, a cage print.

Études sweater, vetements pants, Common Projects sneakers

I am an ardent adversary of the dress code - I usually go to the office, I put on those parks with wide sleeves from above.

Dress Vika Gazinskaya, Loewe earrings

Vika Gazinskaya is one of my favorite Russian brands; the case when an art idea takes root in fashion. I bought this dress at a party of the decade of the brand, it is from the SS12 collection. Sale of archival items in honor of the anniversary - a good idea.
