Photographer Alena Kuzmina about favorite outfits

FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week our heroine is the photographer Alena Kuzmina.

I work in fashion, therefore, I often find interesting things on the set: this is how I got a Baserange dress, an osome2some coat, or M_U_R costumes. It is important for me that the clothes are pleasant to the touch and I want to wear them every day. Previously, I often ordered things in online stores, but in most cases they did not take root, so I stopped buying without fitting. Now I can take without looking only what I already measured or bought earlier - for example, Dr. boots. Martens. It seems they will always be with me.

Ninety percent of the time I work, so clothes should not stop me from taking off. Favorite things are comfortable things. By modern standards, I have a very small wardrobe, since it is important for me that every thing pleases me. The fact that I no longer wear it is sent for recycling - in St. Petersburg, for example, it is convenient to hand over the unnecessary in the “Thank you” boxes. I used to buy clothes at flea markets before, like a real Piter. now constantly staring at the collapse of items for the house. On the last trip to Georgia, I tried to dissuade myself from buying a carpet with all my might - they are incredible there.

Suit brand M_U_R, which makes my friend a designer. I appreciate the work of my friends especially - I am glad that I was lucky to meet such talented people. Anya makes each collection in one color: these things are made from the red autumn-winter 2017 edition. They remind me of Asia, and they are also made of 100% cotton.

After living in St. Petersburg, I can not wear down jackets. I have five coats - and all of this brand. Clip for clothes - St. Petersburg brand Sumei: it seems to me that the designer of the brand Lisa came up with the perfect decoration that every stylist needs. When I look at it, I immediately recall a pleasant shooting in the suburbs of St. Petersburg.

Fiancé jewelery, Comme des Garçons Standard perfume

For me, wardrobe is first and foremost a smell. Recently, I increasingly use just aromatic oils of eucalyptus or rosemary, but I still love these perfumes. Fiancé jewelry is made by my designer friend, I wear them every day.

I wear jeans all the time, I feel most comfortable in them. Most often, I choose the mom model - you can climb into them and crawl on the fences. A white shirt is practical and, I think, very elegant, especially if you don’t iron it. Mineral Weather makes a talented pair of guys who use materials in their natural state, without cutting. As if you walk with a small piece of the history of the Earth.

Kenzo dress bought at a sale in Paris, when she went to the shooting. Universal thing for the St. Petersburg climate - on the cut resembles a coat.

This skirt of my friends-designers from the brand osome2some - I love their coats and light feminine dresses and skirts. Top was on the last shoot for moxstore.com. Shopper Nomi from a beautiful place, which, unfortunately, has closed. I have two of them, and I very much regret that I didn’t take ten more - an irreplaceable thing that brings back memories of the tasty okonomiyaki and the moment when I first tried sake.

The sweatshirt, just like the dress below, is made like a terry towel - cosiness is very important to me. A bag with a picture of the artist Michel Wanthor was presented to me by a friend from Shanghai, who teaches at the Marangoni Institute.

Ring majorica

This ring is probably my only jewelry made by non-Russian jewelers. I bought it in the remote St. Petersburg winter - because of the pearls it reminds me of the sea.

Kenzo bag

I bought it the same day as the Kenzo dress. For me, it is absolutely universal: bright, while most of my things are solid.

I love this dress very much - I wear it on set, and just like that. Putting it on the street, you seem to be still at home - it is sewn from a nice fabric that resembles a bath towel.

M_U_R Suit, Uniqlo Turtleneck, Mango Booties

Costume from the first, white collection of the brand. When I put it on, the image of how we shot on the Gulf of Finland immediately emerges: there was a strong wind and the sun was shining brightly. Probably, therefore, I often wear it: warm memories are especially important in such a megalopolis as Moscow.

Cloak from the Parisian flea market, overalls H & M, Nike sneakers

Perhaps this is my standard way to work. The raincoat is very comfortable and seems to be eternal - I have been wearing it for about four years already. I bought it spontaneously for thirty euros: I was bargaining with a saleswoman despite the fact that I didn’t know French numerals - it was fun. The H & M jumpsuit is incredibly comfortable. For a long time, the filming realized that support was very important to my sick knee - Nike Airmax copes with the task perfectly.
