Zaha Hadid dies
Architect Zaha Hadid died at the age of 66 from a heart attack at a Miami hospital where she was treated for bronchitis. Hadid was born in 1950 in Baghdad, studied in London with Rem Koolhaas, and in 1980 founded her own bureau, Zaha Hadid Architects. Two-thirds of Zaha Hadid’s career worked at the table, but later, according to the designs of her office, buildings were built all over the world, including Russia, China, the Middle East, Hong Kong, Germany and Azerbaijan.
The list of "non-female" professions recognized as discrimination
According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation (Article 253 and Decree No. 162 of February 25, 2000), there are 456 types of employment in 38 areas that are not recommended for women. Among them are steelmaking, welding, driving heavy machinery (for example, snow machines), the profession of a diver, a mechanic, a subway driver and even his assistant, a carpenter, and work in the chemical industry, in shipbuilding and ship repair. All occupations from the list are considered to be difficult or associated with harmful or dangerous working conditions that may damage reproductive health.
23 out of 50 world leaders according to Fortune are women
The Fortune edition has published a list of the most influential people in the world, which is compiled annually - this issue is different in that 23 out of 50 places in it were taken by women (last year there were only 15). The list included politicians - of course, among them, German Chancellor Angela Markel, activists, including the three founders of the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as female military personnel, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, programmers and journalists.
Pavel Astakhov is recognized as sexist of the year.
The initiative group "For Feminism" announced the results of the annual award "Sexist of the Year" in five nominations. According to the results of an open online voting, the main prize was awarded to Pavel Astakhov, the Children's Rights Commissioner under the President of the Russian Federation, who in May 2015 expressed support for marriages with underage girls, justifying this by saying that in our country "there are places where women are already 27 years old shriveled, and by our standards it’s under 50 ".

Transgender marriage registered in Moscow
