Lizny, gulp, bite: Justin Timberlake - lime in tequila advertising
Today, on the national Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo, American television channels began to show a Sauza 901 tequila ad with Justin Timberlake in the role of lime. No, you were not mistaken: the pop idol really plays an anthropomorphic citrus. The viral movie was filmed in the mojkument genre - this is the story of a former star and king of parties, a lime named Rick "Sour" Wayne, and this is definitely one of Timberlake's best roles. The video tells about its take-off in the 80s and the fall in 2013: with the advent of Sauza 901, with its unusually mild flavor, the need to snack on tequila disappeared and limes were out of work. The video was released in two versions - extended, lasting three and a half minutes, and shortened on-air, thirty-second. We, of course, advise you to look at the long version, which is the place on the Cannes Lions, and pay special attention to the quote from Taxi Driver and the image of the mold.
It’s not so easy to learn Timberlake in lime makeup, but the musician and actor threw fans a twitter tip. Among other things, Timberlake is the founder of the tequila 901 brand and became co-owner of the brand last year, selling it to legendary alcohol producer Sauza Tequila. If the video above is not enough for you (although it would seem, what more could you want), here is an excellent video in which Timberlake and Jonathan Ross taste 901 tequila live and play drunken mini-golf:
