Last week we toldthat you should not be afraid to mix cosmetics and use it for other than its intended purpose. Now we have compiled a practical guide about what kind of cosmetics you should pay attention to those who are ready to experiment with it. From the variety of decorative cosmetics, we chose a dozen of products that can be used on different areas of the face and for different purposes.
Translucent lipstick
We do not see a fundamental difference between such lipstick and cream blush. In the first, it happens, they add a lot of sparkles, but otherwise they differ only in a thinner stick. We offer to buy one strangely colored lipstick just for experiments, for example, Poppy Universal Lip & Cheek Velvet Stick from the new collection of The Body Shop (it will soon appear in stores). Such a dark tint balm can be applied to the cheekbone (select it), and on the lips and forever.
Transparent and color lip gloss
This is not the most comfortable thing that can be on the eyelids, but it is impossible to imitate a really wet shine by other means. If you don’t get to MAC Gloss, there is always a transparent gloss of the same brand or any other. By the way, we recommend using not only colorless - burgundy or coral shade, for example, allows you to create makeup in a few minutes. During the day, the pigment from the eyelids will roll into the fold, but this cannot be completely corrected even by a quality primer, so we suggest either to score or not forget to correct the makeup.
Pigment for lips and cheeks
The most obvious option is a tool that is positioned by the manufacturer as a multifunctional one. Last successful novelty - YSL Kiss and Blush. It has a light texture, which is easy to shade and layered to the desired shade of depth. We would advise you to pay attention to the orange shade of Orange Fougueux - pink blush and so you probably have it, and the case of trying on orange is probably not often.
Resistant pigment
MAC Pro in Russia, unfortunately, is not represented, but there are in many nearby countries. In the professional division of the brand there are a lot of interesting pieces, which sometimes fall into a limited or permanent line. Cream pigments like Chromaline are suitable for any part of the face (mucous membranes, lips, cheekbones, eyebrows, etc.), even beginners can easily cope with them, and they are comfortable to wear and do not rub off when in contact with skin and tissue.
Supermatte lipstick Lime Crime or NoUBA
The formula of matte lipstick of both brands is different from most of the others. We love MAC Retro Matte Lipsticks and Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet, but neither one nor the other has the same durability and absolute haze that would allow them to be worn not only on the lips. In contrast, with Lime Crime Velvetines or NoUBA Millebaci lipsticks with a brisk brush, you can paint the eyelids or make single bright accents like this or that.
Shadows "L'Etoile" or others
Shining shadows are able to replace the highlighter - one of our heroines, “It is available”, spoke of this when she recommended “L'Etoile” to Collection Privée De Beers for an accent in the inner corner of the eye. It is also possible to emphasize the tick of the lips and cover the top of the cheekbones, but you can also crumble a small amount and apply it on the whole face - you will get a more characteristic replacement for "meteorites".
INGLOT AMC connection
INGLOT are famous for a large immodest palette. So, in the line of eyeliners there are pink, yellow, sky blue, white, lilac and other unusual colors. All of them are persistent, dense and keep well on the skin, and therefore they can be used anywhere - even the fingers to paint, even the eyebrows. For the latter, it is worthwhile to get a comb-brush and try to touch it only to the hairs - then it will come out neatly, like here. And this eyeliner is quite possible to paint the cheekbones - a shade of 71, for example, perfectly emphasizes the whiteness of the skin.
Cream blush
The only thing that can stop you from using them as lipstick is the need to get into a jar with your fingers. In this case, we recommend keeping a wad of cleaning wipes for hands at the dressing table so that you do not rush to the washbasin in the morning. More often, the texture of rouge is less oily than that of lipsticks, so in winter it makes sense to make up lips first with a balm or primer, and then just distribute the rouge. Waterproof pencils
We decided to combine one type of products according to technical characteristics, and not areas of application - waterproof pencils are produced both for the eyes and for the lips, namely, we advise you to use them. There is no tool more convenient for beginners for eyeliner of everything that the soul asks for, and palettes most often have brands that are rich. In the recently released MAC Technakohl there are those that are suitable for stroke or lip painting and drawing arrows.
