To whom to subscribe: Fashionable photographer Carlein Jacobs
CONTINUE TO TELL about decent accounts in social networks through which you can view the whole world.
Carlaine Jacobs, a 25-year-old Dutchwoman, has been shooting for both traditional glossies like Glamor and independent publications Oyster, i-D and Novembre Magazine for several years. The girl has no professional education - in fact she is a self-taught photographer. “Photography is more than just a technique. It's more about feeling, style and idea,” says Jacobs, and it's hard not to agree with her.
Her style is somewhat similar to other fashionable female photographers like Petra Collins or Duffy Hagai, heroines of our time who, like nobody, can show beauty in all its diversity. It is against the emasculated photographs that Carlein speaks out. “I see beauty in ugly things,” the photographer notes. The girl is serious about the choice of models, preferring people with an unusual appearance, as can be seen from her instagram. The characters often deliberately sloppy and bright makeup, huge ruffles, rhinestones and elements of body art. As a bonus - periodically appearing images of animals.
