Girls about dietary supplements that they drink in the fall

Cooling, less daylight and generally changing seasons Significantly affect the well-being and mood. You should not demand from yourself superproduktivnosti the first weeks of the off-season, but lying on the couch is also not necessary. We asked active girls about which supplements they drink all year round and which at times when the body especially needs support. Note that despite the fact that personal experience is always interesting and sounds convincing, it is worth choosing a dietary supplement after consulting a doctor.

I am a shopaholic, this also applies to all sorts of useful food additives, because I try to control and plan such purchases. For several years I have been keeping a list with my dietary supplements, I have been following their expiration dates and am making an approximate schedule for taking such funds for a year and a half. Without all this I can, being in some The Vitamin Shoppe in the USA or the FANCL brand boutique somewhere in Asia, buy a bag of everything. And then, having recollected myself at home and realizing that I would not have time to use everything until the end of the expiration dates, I would give most of my friends some gifts.

In the plan for the year, I take into account the recommendations of the doctors, in my case it is a phlebologist and an ophthalmologist, and some typical seasonal problems that my body encounters every year. Now, for example, I traditionally have a period of enhanced hair loss, keeping this in mind, I started taking a course of dietary supplements for Ducray Anacaps hair (sold in Russian pharmacies) in September. A couple of years ago I already took these dietary supplements on the recommendation of a trichologist, and the result was excellent.

With the onset of cold weather, I also notice a great dryness and dullness of the skin, and regular intake of flaxseed oil helps to fight them. Now I take it in the form of Now Flax Oil capsules (I ordered it on iHerb). The miraculous effect of flaxseed oil found ten years ago, when she began to take it for the first time on the advice of a friend, keen on a healthy lifestyle. Only a few weeks of regular intake of one tablespoon of oil in the morning - and the skin begins to glow from the inside.

The Pillboxie app (for iPhone) helps me not to forget about the admission, I add all the information about topical tablets and capsules to it, I note the optimal time of admission and dose, the timer tells when it's time to get a pill table (I load it with everything I need in the morning and carry it with me ).

In addition to traditional dietary supplements, I also remember various superfoods like acai berries, chia seeds, bran, fiber. A fan of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles from me did not work, but I continue to indulge myself with the hope that at least dietary supplements will support the body a little.

My story with dietary supplements began ten years ago. Then, on the advice of a doctor (I had a terrible peeling and peeling off the skin on my hands), I began to drink something very simple, like fish oil in capsules. Then there were the typical Phytophanere “girlish” supplements for hair and nails, which I used to take from all foreign trips (they were not sold in Moscow yet), and blueberries were jelly on the advice of an ophthalmologist.

Four years ago, I opened a brave new world called iHerb. In the section with dietary supplements on the site, you can spend the whole day, without choosing anything (as it turned out, abundance is also evil), so I don’t even go there without a list of necessary things. As a rule, I make a dietary supplement for the season based on the recommendations of doctors and girlfriends, as estimated on the same iHerb or reviews of bloggers I trust.

All the year round I drink Iron Plus pops for the prevention of anemia and Berokku tablets, and in the fall I add all sorts of things to strengthen the immune system. For example, this fall I have magnesium in my program (to help cope with stress), Cat's Claw (promises adequate support for immunity) and hyaluronic acid for joints. I grabbed the last one from the shelf in an organic supermarket in Budapest, and I read about properties at home. I decided it won't be over.

The visible result I notice only from dietary supplements for hair and skin. I do not understand how to evaluate those that struggle with stress and increase immunity. Now I practically don’t have colds and are more or less calm, but I don’t know whose merit, mine or dietary supplements is here. The biggest problem with them is to remember to take a pill or, on the contrary, not to drink two at once (having forgotten about the first one). Previously, struggling with these reminders on the phone, now I just place all the cans around the coffee machine, near which I hang out every morning.

I have been taking nutritional supplements since childhood, but if at school I used to drop eleutherococcus to tea in the spring and autumn, now there are more supplements. In Japan, I learned about collagen capsules, it is considered a building material and is good both for sports (nourishes joints) and for beauty (skin, hair, nails will say thank you for it). I bought him several packages in duty free, while enough.

Winter for me coincides with insane employment at work, so the lack of cool products is superimposed on terrible stress and I have to drink Solgar supplements for skin, hair and nails and a complex for sight, so that I don’t remain bald and blind by spring. Their effect is noticeable to me: the hair falls out less, the eyes are not so tired. In general, I do not drink supplements to get better. That is, I do not always notice the effect of them, but I think that if it were not for them, it would become worse.

Sometimes a doctor prescribes vitamins when he thinks I'm too pale, prescribes D and E. In general, I don’t like to drink pills, and very quickly I get bored with drinking something on a schedule. They help out supplements that you can drink in the morning and forget, but in the spring I downloaded the application My pills - and this is a paradise for those who like to "complete the task"! Starting to use, I immediately bought the full version and added all the vitamins, and then also yoga for convenience.

Instead of dietary supplements and vitamins, I choose superfoods, since it is easier for me to understand the nature of these products and to be sure that they are natural, unlike tablets, the origin of which remains a mystery to me. I first started adding superfoods to food two and a half years ago, and these were goji berries and spirulina, the most popular things available at the time. The first were chosen because of the high content of vitamin C and, therefore, to maintain immunity, and spirulina - for a rich protein composition. I took both superfoods like pills: with my eyes screwed up and on schedule.

Then there were Peruvian poppies and guarana. With these products, I tried to overcome my caffeine addiction and increase stamina, concentration and performance. Maka was added to the morning smoothie in a small amount, because it has a specific taste, and guarana - to clean water 30 minutes before cardiovascular training. In spring and summer, I manage to do without these products, but with a decrease in daylight hours and the distemper accompanying the winter season, I again stretch my hand to the shelf with superfoods.

In order not to forget about them, I keep it in the most visible place right above the blender and every morning I invent new drinks for myself, adding Acai berries, antioxidant-rich berries, or hemp protein, or omega-3 rich chia seeds. The effect of all this is evident: I very rarely get sick, I train a lot, I rarely feel very tired even after a very busy day, and I smile a lot. Before the dollar appreciation, I ordered on iHerb, but now it’s completely unprofitable to shop there and quickly buy everything in Moscow, since there are a lot of stores selling all this stuff.

I do not really understand all these dances around goji berries and other outlandish superfoods. Black currant and wild rose are no less useful, they are more suitable for our genotype and correspond to the principle of "slow food". And unlike any powder from the tongues of Tibetan swallows, these familiar foods easily fit into our lives: rosehip tea or cottage cheese with fresh or thawed berries are familiar and understandable more or less everything.

In the fall, we - and I am not an exception - do not have enough sunlight and heat, so we are looking for positive emotions, including in food. And here it is important to fill it with a rich taste not at the expense of sugar and fat, but at the expense of spices. Therefore, with the onset of cold weather, I cook more spicy and spicy dishes, which also perfectly serve as prevention of colds and bad mood. Instead of dietary supplements, I try to eat more seasonal vegetables. All types of cabbage (broccoli, cauliflower, white cabbage), pumpkin, celery root, carrots, beets - due to essential oils, vitamins and microelements, are quite superfoods, and again they are genetically familiar and accessible to us, which do not require complicated logistics and transportation, retains maximum beneficial properties and is easily absorbed by the body.

It is also possible to supplement the set of essential substances in the autumn due to the variety of vegetable oils: along with the habitual already olive - sesame, grape seed, coconut, mustard, almond and, of course, flaxseed. Ground flax seed (in a different form, it is not digested) is the only “supplement” that I regularly use as a spice powder for ready-made cereals. In flax seed there is a sea of everything useful, and of my favorites are omega-3 fatty acids, a set of vitamins B, magnesium, potassium and manganese - in general, everything to fight against the autumn blues. I believe in the soul-saving power and quite a tangible benefit of good teas, my passion is Assam and Darjeeling. Essential oils from herbal teas (lemon balm, mint, chamomile, thyme) are also my best friends in harsh weather conditions.

Dietary supplements, superfoods, vitamins - I am firmly convinced that in all this salvation and eternal life with youth. And my mother started feeding me with them even in her youth - then they just appeared, as I remember now, something was from shark fins. Now these are mainly recommendations of my cosmetologists, who are all with medical education and whom I really believe. Now I have on a regular basis about eight superfoods in my diet: acai, chia, goji, poppy and other exotic things. By the cold season I added a couple of new ones with a high concentration of vitamin C and to strengthen the immune system. All this is poured into the morning oatmeal. Does it help? I am sure that yes, but I don’t know how I would feel without it all - for five years already I have been absorbing all this in huge quantities. I buy superfoods in ufeelgood.ru. I don’t really know the theory, but according to the sensations superfoods are still not real dietary supplements. From dietary supplements classics with my eternal overtraining, no longer adolescence and lamb weight courses, I drank collagen every couple of months, sometimes together with hyaluronic acid. Also courses like poprinimat proglim. After the birth of her daughter, practically nothing remained on her head - just a classic. For three months of taking Country Life Maxi Hair Plus, we have a second row sure underfur. Of the latest finds - "pills of old age" as I call them. French pills Nacriderm, which my cosmetician also recommended me to drink a month or two as a preventive measure. Does it help? Well, of course, yes.

I, probably, have a big skeptic in my soul and do not believe that all these things work, but I still use them. Once I just drank vitamins in the spring and autumn, because my mother taught me so from childhood. Of course, the thing is that dietary supplements promise everything at once, and who does not want it. I once discovered Holland & Barrett, and I needed everything from there: I had a pill and a handful of pills with oils, vitamins and other things every day. Of course, this had no effect on the state of health or appearance.

Now I use three things. The first is the vitamins from the sports nutrition store, I drink them all year round, but chaotically, more often, just when I have breakfast at home, in other cases I forget. I drink very useful chia seeds, which I don’t believe in, but since the time when I believed, I loved their slimy texture in combination with tropical juice. After them, I don’t want to cut it so much, especially after training. And now I’ve got hooked on Life drinks, in which there is a lot of probiotics, but in fact it is a natural extract of the main component, which is driven through the fermenter and added Mechnikov’s culture there. As in sour milk, but sour milk I don't like to drink every day, and fermented soda is something, although not everyone likes it. But my stomach is really calmer when I drink it regularly.

It seems to me that everything works in what you believe. For example, sometimes my hair starts to get bigger than usual, and I start drinking vitamins as a reminder on my phone and switch to a more natural and protein-rich diet, which helps. The main thing - not to get involved in additives too, the body may not understand. Maybe nothing of what I try does not help, but in this case, psychosomatics does its job properly.

I am a person who adored fish oil as a child. My grandfather dripped it onto a piece of black bread and sprinkled it with salt. It was delicious. I can not say that since then in my relationship with dietary supplements there was some kind of consistency. Moreover, I am not sure of their effectiveness and read different opinions on this matter. It seems to me that in my life it is rather such a magic pill that you run to when you realize that you are not feeling well enough and you want to take care of yourself. In a good way, you need to get all these nutrients and vitamins in a natural way, but, alas, our lifestyle is imperfect.

It seems I first started drinking supplements after giving birth. I brought from different trips Oenobiol for hair and nails, and it seemed to me that there is an effect. Then one day I bought the same brand, but for weight loss I was extremely disappointed at home, having read that for the most part they consist of cellulose, which swells and suppresses appetite. And threw out the insult.

Systematically, perhaps, I drink omega-3 - in the autumn-winter period and in the spring, by the course. I have very dry skin and it seems to me that it helps. Usually Solgar, they were recommended by insiders from the pharmaceutical industry, but this time they bought Japanese KWC on the Orient Express - they cost almost as much, and the cleaning quality is better. If I feel weak and “dispersed” - then “Berokku” (vitamins of group B, calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin C), I was once prescribed by a serious doctor. Well, sometimes I add something according to the situation: right now the same Japanese brand - curcumin and amino acids (for digestion, detox and immunity). Ayurvedic doctors talk a lot about turmeric and its beneficial properties, but in pills it is somehow more convenient. I drink them recently, so it's too early to talk about the effect. In order not to forget, I put them on the kitchen table (breakfast and dinner), and in the afternoon I take with me a small pretty pill table. I don’t have any reminders. Skip reception in this case is not fatal. In general, it turns out, I am very conservative - I drank loyalty to him just as I drank fish oil in five years.
