Who to subscribe: First Indian professional surfer

CONTINUE TO TELL about decent accounts in social networks through which you can view the whole world.

Surfing has finally become a mass sport: children are sweeping the waves from preschool age, and businessmen and retirees go on surfing tours to Bali and Portugal - but in any case there is always room for discovery. One of them made Ishita Malawiya, becoming the first surfer who represents India at the international level and promotes the culture of surfing in her homeland. Her passion for boards and waves began in 2007 after meeting an exchange student from Germany. In the same year, together with her boyfriend Tushar Patian, Ishita created the Shaka Surf Club surfing club for people of all ages in southwest India. Surfing is not common among Indians, although the country's climate is quite suitable for this.

Ishita Malawiya participates in international surfing competitions, charity events and social projects, and recently, as part of the surf club, Shaka established an annual camp for surfers. In the girl's instagram there are no glossy selfies, green smoothies and intrusive advertisements - there is mainly the ocean, Ishita herself on the crest of a wave, traveling around India and having fun in the surf club. The absence of the usual self-praise does not prevent popularity: in 2014, Ishita became the ambassador of the clothing brand for Roxy surfers, the leader in its segment, and to this day remains the only Indian in this post. Malawiya is sometimes taken for the lookbooks, she is happy to give interviews and say that she does this not so much for herself, but to popularize her native India with its beautiful coasts among surfing fans around the world.
