Makeup artist Yulya Khudyakova about work and favorite cosmetics
FOR THE FACE "HEAD"we study the contents of beauty cases, dressing tables and cosmetic bags of interesting characters to us - and we show all this to you.
About shopaholism
I am a makeup artist and hair stylist, for several years I have been constantly working on shows and shootings for fashion brands and gloss. I am a real beauty shopaholic: the fact that I have not tried all the banks in the world is simply an annoying consequence of the fact that I do not have an unlimited amount of money. But since I became a make-up artist, I have practically stopped traveling, although I used to go abroad three times a year, and my hands rarely reach the new clothes - do you understand the scale? But I buy a lot of caring and decorative cosmetics, try new things, distribute something, and sell something through social networks. The coolest products settle in my case and personal cosmetics bag.
About minimalism in make-up
Despite the fact that I work as a makeup artist, I can not say that I constantly go with the "full-fledged" make-up. Quite the contrary: all my energy goes into work, and, as a rule, not much is left for myself. But I don’t want to be a shoemaker without boots, so I mostly limit myself to duty makeup, which I am not too lazy to do at five in the morning: I quickly put two drops of MUFE Water Blend on top of moisturizer, finish eyebrows with Beautydrugs marker, tint eyelashes with Estée Lauder mascara ink , apply a dash of Clinique Chubby cream blush on apples and moisturizing Tint Dior balm on lips.
It takes no more than five minutes and allows you to look fresh all day if there is no strength and mood for something more interesting. When I have more free time, I experiment with different textures, new products, but always adhere to minimalist accents that are combined with the chosen clothes and mood. On my arm there is a tattoo with the inscription "Less is more" - this phrase ideally describes my approach to everything in life, including makeup.
About care
I re-read a bunch of books about different systems of care, tried all this on myself and came to the conclusion that not a single scheme takes into account what my skin needs here and now. We have too different combinations of genes, health conditions, lifestyles, and environmental conditions, so that at least some system can be recommended with confidence to a large group of people. I realized that it is important to understand the needs of my skin.
Now I have enough soft cleansing twice a day, tonic and moisturizer. Systematic is important: I never clog up on care procedures either in the morning or in the evening, regardless of evening fatigue or early rises. From time to time I like to make moisturizing masks, the main thing is not to overfeed the skin. In general, there should be a measure in everything: if you clean too actively or moisten too much, you should not be surprised at the state distortions.
