WE ARE UNSTANTLY FOLLOWED for new trends, but many of them cause a lot of questions: how it is suitable for life? How and with what to wear crop tops, hairy sneakers, plush jackets and transparent everything? Many offices still assume a dress code: tights are obligatory somewhere in the summer, where the rules are much more flexible. Meanwhile, the office uniform itself is becoming more diverse and less boring. We chose concise sets of comfortable clothes, not distracting from the workflow.

Shirt and pants palazzo

Due to its practicality, wide trousers became an important element of the power dressing style, formed in the late 70s - early 80s, when women needed functional office clothes that did not contradict a dynamic lifestyle. Echoes of this era are now found in every second collection - but it is hardly worth repeating images from 80's cult films about office life one-on-one.

Try to choose one element and place a bet on it: wide trousers, a jacket with a hypertrophied shoulder line or catchy earrings. A set of a shirt and trousers, a palazzo made of light fabric is a convenient option for the warm season, which is especially good in combination with mules on a flat sole and shoes with massive heels.

Overseas Jacket and Classic Straight Blue Jeans

The jacket is several sizes larger - a thing that has already become canonical, and you can combine it with anything, such as jeans. If they are not prohibited in your office, choose the most versatile option - blue jeans without unnecessary details, like those of Stella McCartney from the pre-collection, or slightly cropped, like those of Rachel Comey from a cruise. Notice how this combination looked at the Dries Van Noten show with an azure-colored jacket.

If you decide to wear something similar to work, it is better not to overload the image, having limited to laconic accessories, and as a shirt, choose the option without prints and decorative elements.

Top with shoulder accent, cropped pants and kitten heels

Another simple look at first glance turns out to be quite boring: a top with emphasized wide square shoulders, like in Tibi in the Pre-fall - 2017 collection, cropped trousers and elegant kitten heels. Partly it is the hypertrophied shoulder line that “makes” the whole image, so it’s not worth ignoring this detail, which is inseparably connected with the current 80s.

Blouse on one shoulder, pants with high waist and long belt

Shirts and blouses with bare shoulders - spring-summer trend, which will be felt in the new season. She is not suitable for working with a strict dress code, but where it is not necessary - quite, especially in the hot season. And yet choose the most discreet options for blouses and shirts without frills and lace, and as a bottom - pants with a high waist or a strict midi skirt.

A similar option can be seen at the Ann Demeulemeester show. Pay attention to the long belt that goes down below the knee - the designers complement with a similar accessory just about everything: dresses, trench coats and a coat. If the image with all the circumstances seems too bold, throw a jacket.

Long shirt and midi skirt

An extended shirt, similar to a dress, is unlikely to surprise anyone. For its undeniable convenience and conciseness, this thing seems to have forever taken its place in the everyday wardrobe. Nevertheless, designers do not cease to show different versions of a dress-shirt: in the spring-summer collections - 2017 Céline showed a loose white with one horizontal dark stripe in front, Lemaire - up to the knee with a small abstract pattern, Balenciaga in a cruise collection - long with a collar- resistant, resembling a monastic robe.

You can wear an elongated shirt in several ways: at work - with midi pants and skirts, and in everyday life - with leggings or on your own.

Midi skirt, jacket and corset

Nothing remarkable kit, if not the corset, which became the hit of recent seasons. Modern corset does not look like a relic of the past, today it is a fashion accessory with a purely decorative function, allowing you to look at familiar things from a different angle. No hint of hypertension: the image on the Isabel Marant show and in The Row look looks as well as possible to workdays.

You can combine a corset with a variety of things: with T-shirts, and with shirts, and with dresses, and with stretched sweaters. But perhaps the most successful look multilayer images. For the office, we chose just this: a midi skirt, a top and a jacket, under which, if the air conditioner is working too hard, you can wear a thin sweater or turtleneck.

Jacket with shorts

The combination is again unusual, and therefore not suitable for all offices. If you are still wearing shorts, the main thing is to choose top and bottom that are in harmony with each other (unless, of course, this is not a suit). Such a kit will be a win-win option for the office - strict, but in moderation. Another beauty of the combination "jacket plus shorts" is that at the summer party after the working day you will look no less impressive.

Dress and shoes with socks

Shoes with socks - a combination that can still confuse many. Rely on your taste, but be careful with bright and pastel shades, if you do not want to look infantile. You can prefer calm, neutral colors (such as, for example, gray and beige). Again, it is best to choose the dress as simple as possible, but not too strict - otherwise there is the likelihood of dissonance.

Turtleneck, silk skirt and pointed shoes

Playing on a variety of textures will easily make an office wardrobe more interesting: sometimes it is enough to choose a contrasting top and bottom in order to look serious, but not boring. This image from the Jil Sander Pre-fall 2017 collection is also built on contrast: a plain black turtleneck, which everyone will surely find in the closet (and not one), a flowing skirt made of silk of a dirty off-white shade. Pointed sleepers - a clear hit for the next season - can be replaced with ordinary high-heeled shoes.

Business suit of bright color and unusual cut

Each season, designers show remakes of a two-piece suit that has become the most traditional attribute of an office dress code. Watching his evolution is extremely entertaining.

In the spring-summer shows, Demna Gvasalia showed an oversized jacket with deliberately large shoulders, adding to it a mini-skirt in a thin strip suit, Simon Port Jacquesus - an elongated jacket in the style of new look with palazzo trousers, and Nicolas Ghesquière has a jacket with cutouts the sides were accompanied by wide cropped trousers. Phoebe Faylo suggests wearing a jacket and pants a few sizes larger. As a shoe for the office with a loose dress code, you can choose sneakers, and replace the bag with a backpack that is convenient to carry both paper and a computer.
