Trend: White Shirt
The history of the white shirt is pretty vividly demonstrated by actresses of the past and present centuries. In the 1940s, Judy Garland and Marlene Dietrich walked in white, similar to men's shirts. The 1950s were remembered by the frivolous white shirt that Princess Anna from the Roman Holiday supplemented with a scarf. Brigitte Bardot was fond of similar shirts in the sixties. In the 1970s, the heroine of Diana Keaton from "Annie Hall" combined a strict white shirt with a two-piece suit. The 1980s - the era when white shirts were worn by schoolgirls from films about teenagers. Pulp Fiction, which appeared on screens in 1994, is remarkable for Umy Thurman’s voluminous white shirt. The 2000s were marked by Kira Knightley's messy white shirts from Pirates of the Caribbean, romantic shirts like Scarlett Johansson in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and finally a starched collar blonde performed by Tilda Swinton from Limits of Control.

Once designers preferred to lay out white shirts in neat piles on the far store shelves, now they can be included in a dozen bows in one show. The white shirt knows neither social nor age restrictions: it is worn by Alyona Doletskaya and Cecilia Dean, Tavi Gevinson and Susie Bubble. The same can be said about the relevance of the shirt. Fashion magazines in one voice claim that a white shirt can be worn both at work and at a secular reception. A couple of years ago, the same was said about basic alcoholic shirts and T-shirts.

In the spring and summer of 2011, you should pay attention to the length of the shirt sleeve. Dolce & Gabbana, Erdem and Stella McCartney prefer to leave it traditional. Charles Anastase, Lacoste and Paul Smith roll up the sleeves to the elbow or sew shirts with three-quarter sleeves. The most current trend is offered by Alexander Wang, Chloe and Michael Angel, who are cut off their sleeves from their shirts. According to the designers, shirts can be tucked into skirts, pants and shorts, as Band of Outsiders, Gap, Hermes, Jil Sander and Moschino do, and you can wear a jacket: this is what Balenciaga, Maison Martin Margiela and Terexov do. Whether you want to fasten a shirt under your throat or leave a few buttons undone is up to you. The first method is promoted by Carven (adorns the collar with a brooch with large rhinestones), Celine and Chanel, and the second is Dries Van Noten, Dsquared2 and Michael Kors. An interesting way to wear a shirt - backwards - offers Rad by Rad Hourani.

KSENIYA MARCHENKO designer brand X'U A white shirt made of formal clothes turned into casual, and her combination with jeans or loose shorts has become the norm. And although no one treats the white shirt with the same trepidation and few people care about the starched collar and cuffs, yet this piece of clothing is special. I love men's white shirts, which have long replaced my dress. And the image of a girl waking up with matted hair sitting on a window-sill in a huge white men's shirt on a naked body is already so beaten up that he does not even want to comment. But still this image is so strong that, while offering a dress shirt in the collection, I subconsciously repelled it, deliberately removing slackness and shapelessness, giving it a cut of severity and clarity. |

Viktor & Rolf’s shirt of silk and cotton is not enough for many to dare to buy even with a 50% discount: its price is $ 1,145. But the same for 3.1 Phillip Lim costs $ 475. For a shirt with epaulettes and large metal buttons Burberry Prorsum will have to pay £ 290, and for a similar with spikes on the cuffs from the line Burberry London - £ 250. Rag & Bone sells white shirts for $ 180. And in Lacoste they can be purchased for about $ 155. Any democratic brand can find a white shirt: from H & M and Topshop to Next and New Look. But if they go to the stores of these brands, rather, for fashionable stretched sweaters or wiped jeans, then follow strict shirts to Gap or Uniqlo. In the latter, in addition to high-tech blouses, the Uniqlo + J collection beloved by all is sold.
