Elvira Ti Art, designer with a laser instead of scissors
Under the heading "Fresh blood" we present young professionals who have not yet become familiar in the pages of magazines, but will certainly have time to do it in the near future. Our hero today is the young avant-garde artist Elvira Ti Art.

Elvira Ti Art was born in Holland in 1988 and is in every sense a young designer. In 2011, she graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy fashion design department in Amsterdam. For the idea of the graduation collection, the girl took the idea of turning 2D-drawings into real clothes, which later became the hallmark of her work. In 2012 she presented her collection at Fashionclash, a platform for presenting the work of young designers to an international audience. The collection consisted entirely of black things that exactly repeat its sketches: for this, the fabric on the clothes is burned out with a laser. For the most part, dresses and jackets neatly sewn from scraps of fabric are the quintessence of Elvira Ti Art collections. |
“For the most part, I am inspired by my drawings. That is, I don’t draw when I’m inspired by something. Mostly I take a pencil in my hands because of my love for drawing,” Elvira said in an interview. Despite the large number of young designers with a non-standard approach to creating clothes (I remember Craig Green), Ti Art still occupied a niche among avant-garde designers: no one else makes such clothes.

In the new season, the girl showed things that are laser cut from the skin. In her interviews, she says she intends to continue building things with this technology. Wouldn't they be too monotonous? Now Elvira is only 24 years old - she still has time to experiment with textures and colors. |
