Editor'S Choice - 2024

Wardrobe: Tess Jopp, London stylist.

Before you - our permanent heading "Wardrobe". For her, we take pictures of our favorite things beautifully, distinctively or strangely dressed people and ask them to tell stories that are connected with these things.

For the new material, we shot the London stylist with Russian roots Tess Jopp. Tess has been living in England for two years, shooting for I-D, I Love Fake, NYLON, Vogue Japan and her own Vrag Mag. Well, and an important detail - starting today, Tess takes part in our broadcast with London Fashion Week and will also keep a diary for us. So soon we will begin to learn from her about everything strange, funny and drunk, what is happening at this time in the city.

Givenchy jacket; Topshop dress and shoes; tunic Richard Nicoll; decoration, vintage; Accessorize ring

I bought a red embroidered jacket last year. There is something very Russian in it. I wear it very rarely, because I’m afraid to mess with, and I never wear parties, although I really want to. I wore it at Fashion Week, and my girlfriend took it to the wedding - such events, where you just will not be poured with beer. The collar is made from some lace, tulle. He is wearing another, lilac, as if woven of beads. There is something childish about it, and I love these things - they can be found in large numbers in the Parisian vintage markets. I do not buy expensive jewelry because I lose them. All the money I have spent on some great purchases - dresses, jackets. This is a plastic ring, for example, Accessorize.

British designer Richard Nicholl's tunic I love for a romantic print with a girl and roses. Underneath the Topshop dress. There you can often find good funny things. I love this dress for the fact that it does not look like Topshop. I generally have a rule - to buy things that look good no matter how much they actually cost.

Many people think that these are Louis Vuitton shoes, but I really like my Topshop more because they have very beautiful embroidery in the form of flowers.

Costume J.W. Anderson; turtleneck, vintage; Givenchy decoration; Piers Atkinson headband, Lanvin sandals

J.W. Anderson has a Sample Sale that everyone wants to get into - from bloggers like Susie Bubble to some of my friends from school. First there let friends J.W. Anderson, and then all the rest. In order to break through, we stood an hour outside, it was very cold - it seemed as if it was minus twenty outside. When the door was opened, we practically got inside through deception, I managed to grab this shirt and pants and, without having measured it, bought it. Fortunately, the whole village is perfect. I carry them anywhere, even for bread.

I never dress up when I go out; for me, all these things are absolutely everyday. I just can not wear jeans with ballet shoes - I am not against those who wear them, but I can not, such a crazy person. For me, this is as strange as, perhaps, for someone to dress up like me.

I really like this tight turtleneck sweater, although it is almost not visible in the photo. In the latest collection of Louis Vuitton was one to one the same.

I bought the Givenchy vintage jewelry for the first money that my parents sent me to pay for an apartment in London - they then, of course, scolded me. I love jewelry in the form of animals - such frivolous details in the wardrobe. It would be a lot of money, I would buy everything with spiders, lions, snakes, dogs - any animals.

Pierce Atkinson is a great fun guy with whom we often see each other at parties. Once I asked him for this bezel with a bug for an event, and that is how I stayed with it.

I really like these Lanvin sandals with painted crystals, they remind me of the work of Damien Hirst. Sales - a great time when you can buy everything you wanted for months.

Blouse and boots Dolce & Gabanna; Yves Saint Laurent bracelet; decoration, gift; Asos rings

Although this whole Italian Dolce & Gabbana theme is not at all mine, I would buy the winter collection completely. The blouse is very light, her insanely beautiful print and details - ruffles on stitching. This is a work of art, a picture - the way I feel at the moment, a thing that is absolutely comfortable. The lizard on the neck is also a gift. My friend Masha Mel calls me a friendly Lizard (lizard). She thinks I look like her from somewhere on the side. Well, if it looks like it, it gave me a brilliant lizard. I love everything brilliant: apparently, Russian roots play in me.

Skirt Marc Jacobs I wanted for a long time and bought four months later at the sale. It is made of plastic plates that live their lives: the skirt is constantly moving, even when you are sitting. Bracelet Yves Saint Laurent gave girlfriend, with whom I live. I adore when they give me gifts, especially such beautiful ones. We had a shoot for Asos, and they just told us to take what we like. We ponabrali any small rings.

About "carpet" boots, I dreamed for a long time. These made Margiela, but they cost an extraordinary two thousand pounds. These Dolce & Gabbana, oddly enough, are much cheaper. I have a huge foot size, which is why I can never pick up my shoes, so I was over the moon when these boots sat on me, and without hesitation, I took them.

Ears, a friend's gift; Miu Miu dress; T-shirt and Topshop windbreaker; Missoni boots; bracelets from a baby shop

Ears gave me a girlfriend for fun. They are very amusing people on the street: they smile, I smile, in general, everyone is good. I love some cheap plastic jewelry. Many, like this, I find in the children's departments of stores.

I wore a very thick Miu Miu lemon dress. Well, I can not, I really like it. Now I put on him a few more layers of clothing. Tight pink t-shirt from the Topshop and Michael Van Der Horst collaboration. I love pink, and this shirt, again, does not look like Topshop.

Topshop Unique windbreaker from the Egyptian collection has a big rapper hood. I used to ride a snowboard and wore timberlands, sweatshirts and wide pants (I never wore skirts), so I still have a weakness for this. Fun, of course, as I changed, people from Moscow still do not recognize me. Honestly, I have never been interested in fashion, everything came about by itself.

I love bright platform shoes for a combination of green snake skin and blue heel. Never seen on any person. I wear them in the winter.

Balenciaga Jumper; Asos skirt; Ankle Boots Marc Jacobs; ring from the museum; Mawi decoration

The jumper with huge shoulders is made of the material from which swimming suits are usually sewn; I gave him a boyfriend. I wanted this model with a different print, but it was bought up in the first days - I got used to the heads on my pullover for a long time, but now I notice them a little. Marc Jacobs boots bought as soon as I saw that there is my size. I can not tolerate cowboy boots, but these with a transparent plastic insert look perfect. They fit almost everything, I don’t know why people think that they are unbearable.

Skirt gave Asos. She also recalls what Damien Hirst does. A little childish, but looks great with this pullover. The ring is made of plastic in the shape of a diamond. Bought in the store at the Museum of Victoria and Albert in white, pink and blue colors.

When I worked with Mawi, they gave me this jewelry. According to it, it is immediately clear what kind of brand it is - a landmark necklace.

Dress Marques Almeida; Zara shirt; Ashish dress; Furla bracelets

This brand is known for tattered jeans, my dress from their first collection. I like the fact that it is so huge, shapeless and a little teen. A simple blue shirt Zara bought to wear under something. It was funny when I went to the Russian IKEA, and there the girl at the checkout said: "Oh, and you have a shirt like me! But you put it on so interestingly, I would never think so!"

Since I adore sequins and in general everything that glitters, I love Ashish very much. I put this dress on a party, because it does not smudge at all and, by the way, does not fall - it is so well done. Transparent bracelets I bought in Furla. I do not often carry something on my hands, but I really like transparent plastic, so I could not refuse from these. Brilliant Bracelet - J.W. Anderson. Not everyone knows that he also makes jewelry, but they also go well with him.

Miu Miu pants and shoes; Dries Van Noten coat; Topshop dress

Miu Miu pants also really wanted. Fortunately, my size remained. They sit perfectly, and I really like their length, though you can’t wear them without heels - they will drag along the floor. I really like to wear pants with dresses that go just above the knees, as was the case, for example, with Prada. This is the topshop of insanely bright yellow.

The coat of Dries Van Noten is made of threads of different colors that shine very beautifully in the sun. On the street, they often ask me where I bought it.

Pointed shoes are my everything. I love these green Miu Miu, made under the skin of a snake. They are very tight for me, so I wear them very rarely, but I often use them on the set.

Givenchy skirt and shirt; Christopher Kane jacket; Celine shoes

This Givenchy collection was bought out in the very first week of sales, and I was lucky to find a skirt and shirt in the Dover Street Market. These are incredibly beautiful things. I do not understand how they make these prints - the panthers supposedly live on a skirt.

My friends love this jacket for the funny cracking sound that it makes when I move. Fur collar can be unfastened in the warm season.

Celine shoes are very narrow and uncomfortable. They are hard to stand, not to walk, especially on the London pavement. But I wanted them so much that I just could not buy them. They look very sexy.

Miu Miu Bag

Another thing in sequins - Miu Miu bag. It shimmers beautifully and fits absolutely everything.

Prada Sandals

But they are very comfortable. I love for dressing under the snake and an interesting heel.

Sandals Salvatore Ferragamo

I dreamed about these sandals from the limited collection of Salvatore Ferragamo. I often assist photographer Chris Moore on backstage shows, and model Hannah Gabby says "I want your shoes!" every time he sees them on me.
