Event manager Dewar's Powerhouse Naila Goleman about favorite outfits

FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week, our heroine is Event Manager Dewar's Powerhouse Naila Goleman.

In clothes, one rule seems important to me: if you want to dress up, dress up. Walking in a red dress in the bakery, throwing garbage in a fur coat on a satin robe, going for cigarettes in chains and earrings - all this adorns life. The opposite is also important: you do not want to dress up - do not do this, wherever you have to go today. It is better to dress up from the heart, otherwise then you feel like an idiot.

In addition to this simple law, my wardrobe is built on three whales: second-hand, swaps and lack of a sense of proportion. In this regard, it is much more than I need, and there are many similar things in it. Three beige skirts, three red dresses, four T-shirts with sequins - just a bunch of identical pieces, because I’ll drag home everything in search of the ideal. Where did that come from, I do not always remember. Periodically, in this heap, I just find something and start to wear - that week, for example, this was how wonderful python-print pants showed up.

Every morning I wake up among these deposits and I think: everything must be thrown out. Or at least half - because the second is definitely enough to live smartly for another year or two. But in general, swaps are very helpful in this situation. A couple of years ago, my friends and I came up with changing unnecessary things, and since then I and another 150 people (and not very familiar) people have been spending less than ten times on clothes for girls, and getting more joy. Changing is easier than buying: it's fun, eliminates the agony of choice, costs nothing, and most often brings unexpected results. If you are not yet exchanging clothes with your friends - urgently start, I strongly advise.

Strange Ways cap, second-hand fur coat, Strogo Vintage jeans, DPH t-shirt, adidas sneakers

When I worked as a festival selector, I was sent on business trips - for example, to the Berlin Film Festival. It was a beautiful life that was not easy to afford: the travelers paid a little and six months later, so, as a student, I managed to go there and eat there for microsum, taken from random part-time work and pocket money. For nine days in Berlinale, I took with me pocket money, it seems, 100 euros - 70 of them on the very first day were spent on a dream fur coat, in which I have been going for the fifth year, each season gently patching holes in it. I didn’t remember what I ate the rest of that week, but what difference does it make if you have an astrakhan fur coat on your shoulders.

The cap was simply found at home - where it came from, I do not know. But the patch on it is a dear friend's heart gift. "Strength in the square" is also a special thing: this is a bar T-shirt I used to love to go to, and from this summer I came to work. A year ago I looked at these T-shirts and was embarrassed to ask the guys for one. Now she ordered them herself and was terribly happy when, taking advantage of the situation, she took herself already three pieces of different colors.

Zara coat, flea market bag, unknown brand loafers, Strogo Vintage jeans

Shoes, similar to fashionable herring, got from a girlfriend-stylist, who also, in turn, received them from a girlfriend-stylist. Rolling trophy of unknown brand and amazing beauty. Coat years 12. My mother gave it to me when I was in the tenth grade class - all these years I go to him, and it always produces a magical effect on others. The ideal, by the way, clothing for dating. All my jeans for the last year I bought from girls from Strogo Vintage - they always have a choice of nice, good old plain jeans pants. And not only, by the way, them.

H & M pants, second-hand jacket, Kimchi Riot t-shirt

Ninja costume, he is the perfect hangover clothes: soft, black, does not distract from anything. Both things were bought by luck for some penny. Pants came to hand at a sale for five dollars, and the jacket turned up on a cold day in St. Petersburg, when I went to second in search of a sweater, as I arrived dressed not according to the weather. Mike is a gift: kimchi is my favorite food, and when I saw a friend in her Instagram that she went to a bar called Kimchi Riot, I vividly expressed my delight that a week later she just brought me a T-shirt from this place.

H & M pants, fur coat and T-shirt of unknown brands

When I came to a new job at the height of summer, I saw this huge piece of cotton candy in an office in a basket in the corner. Asking a colleague what it was, she found out that it was a fur coat that she did not wear, but her dog was wearing it. I thought that I needed more than a dog, and took it. So far, she has found exactly one case in such a way out of the house - when the dresscode was marked with the phrase "Come in a diva costume" to the Pika-Pika party. But I believe, I believe - there will be more cases.

Second-hand dress, unknown brand bomber jacket, Nike sneakers

Once I bought a Chinese qipao dress in Megastil shop, which was not enough for me. That evening I gave it to my friend Ole Avstreykh, since she is exactly one size smaller than me. After a couple of days, Avstreich presented me with the same red - which, as it turned out, lay with her for a year and was exactly the size she was large. Bomber is also a gift, one of those things that I sometimes get with the words: "Nelia, I do not know what to do with such clothes, but I think you know, therefore, keep it up."

Monki sundress, backpack and shoes from the Istanbul market

Dress - another good luck with a swap, I got a completely new one. This is the most comfortable summer clothing I have ever met: it does not fit, sits cool, two huge pockets. If I had to wear a uniform, I would like her to be like that.

For a carpet backpack and slippers, I have long hunted. When I last went to Istanbul, I specially planned a day to search for these two things among the endless shops at the Grand Bazaar. I was looking for an hour, two more - I was bargaining.

Skirt from the store "Megastil", skirt Topshop, turtleneck H & M

Everything is clear here - this is Kim Kardashian's suit, which, as it were, has nothing to be ashamed of. Like many women of the world, I terribly worried about my figure for most of my life: I am not tall, not thin, I have a big butt, and it can’t be hidden at all. Fortunately, at some point it dawned on me that one should not try to hide such obvious things - and from that moment my life became much easier and more pleasant.

Fur coat Strogo Vintage, dress sewn mom

Zoo costume: a fur coat with a leopard and a dress with swans. An artificial spot coat is a thing in which everything is done a little more impressive than without it. It is even strange that she came to me only two weeks ago, because I went to her all my life, I think so. Here, of course, you have to be careful: it is from the category of things that begin to famously manage your life as soon as you find yourself in them. Having bought, I did not take it off for some time, until I realized that the lifestyle to which she persistently has, I just can’t take it physically longer than three days.

My mother once sewed a dress for herself, but in the end it came to me because I had a plan. It consisted in the fact that I waited a long time and gradually smelled. One of the most beloved and most successful dresses in my wardrobe - always receives compliments from others, which are especially pleasant to answer, because in return you can tell which mother is cool.

Vintage Kimono, Zara Decoration, H & M Pants, Econika Sandals

There is such a view that wearing kimono outside the tradition is not very beautiful and, perhaps, not too ethical. I respect this point of view very much, but I do not share it - just as I don’t too much share the scrupulousness about the appropriation of one or another traditional national style in 2016. Especially how to resist, when such beauty. It looks like new, if you do not look closely at the lining, which shows that he is 40 years old. Also, by the way, everyone usually thinks about the turquoise dragon - but this is just Zara. Also, by the way, got me on a swap.

Jean-Jacques de Castelbajac coat, H & M pants, Dr. boots. Martens

The red martins are the perfect swap surprise, I don’t think I would have bought them myself if they hadn’t come into my hands. But the coat was bought on the garage sale on Wonderzine's birthday, which we did this summer with the editors. There I met the reader Masha and fell in love with her sense of taste: in addition to this coat, I bought two more things from her, and later also received my own favorite perfume from her.

This coat is a house-type thing that you put on and just live in it. It is cut out of some kind of insane rug, it is impossible not to notice, and also no one has yet been able at first glance to understand exactly how it works. When I doubted whether to buy it, my friend and moral landmark Rita Popova said: "Nail, this is a coat of an interesting person. I think you should buy it to live the life of an interesting person." It, as in the overwhelming majority of cases, was absolutely right - it works like this.

Medallion with a red heart - a souvenir from Thailand, which I have never been. I wear it with Thailand inside, representing this part of the costume of a cartoon princess: just a plastic red heart. Badges - gifts of friends. One is a reminder of the distant and dear to me people who are now living in Japan, the second one is a trial of two people who are going to make a line of the best enamel badges. I dream to wear them all, but so far I only got this one.

JNBY jacket, unknown brand skirt, SEE glasses, Strogo Vintage rubber flip-flops

Sometimes I try to be very serious - these days I dress and still paint my lips in a dark color. It almost always works. This costume has another very important practical feature: all things here are completely or almost waterproof. So this is first of all a good way to get out of the house on a rainy day - I don’t use umbrellas (it’s useless, I’m losing umbrellas, and they’re also inconvenient), so I have to come up with waterproof outfits. By the way, from the experience of this shooting, I learned that people look like complete idiots, if they seriously look at the frame in dark glasses.

Dressing gown from the Istanbul market, H & M jeans

A bathrobe is a crop of the same day as a carpet backpack several frames higher. I honestly bargained for him in English for a minute, but it quickly turned out that the old man who sold it came from Uzbekistan, so he talked to me for another 20 minutes in wonderful Russian, gave me tea, and eventually dropped the price four times. Perfect summer jeans came to me from the wardrobe of the same Oli Avstreich, and the jewelery was Alice Taiga. It is noteworthy because if you sing, you can loudly tap the rhythm along it, thus obtaining a full-fledged musical instrument.

Chinese shirt from second-hand, pants from the store "Megastil"

I have seen little more beautiful than this shirt in my life, and I have nothing to add here.

Cardigan Strogo Vintage, pants from the store "Megastil" sandals "Econika"

The best find for the year of my friendship with Strogo is a serious, but bright and terribly comfortable cardigan in which I feel like a smart and responsible adult. I put on events where you have to keep your posture. Sandals are just a holiday, it’s a pity that they turned out to be disgusting qualities and after five exits from the house they began to look like I’ve been wearing them for a couple of years.

All jewelry - homemade or vintage

Brush earrings - my idea is fixed. All the time I lose them and make new ones, like these burgundy and gold ones collected from scrap materials. Wooden earrings are a gift from the Stameska carpenter's workshop, in which serious tables and cabinets are sculpted from all sorts of different types of wood with a hundredth level of complexity. Separate city and joy.

Perfume: L'Artisan Parfumeur, Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent

Until this summer I was a film critic. And, of course, she dreamed of at least something to look like Boris Unepo, because Boris is an outstanding person and cultural figure. If you don’t know anything about Boris, this is generally normal, but I advise you to find out something about him, you can discover the magical world of an extraordinary movie. So, it’s not so easy to be like Boris. But once I succeeded - it was when he informed me that he also used the perfume of Yves Saint Laurent Noble Leather. Since then, I began to appreciate them even more.

Also, when I was a film critic, I sometimes - rarely - wrote large and important texts. One of the main such texts in my life was a hefty essay about the director Alejandro Khodorovsky for the journal Séance. If you don’t know anything about Khodorovsky, again, this is generally normal, but I really advise you to find out. For this text, I, among other things, had a month to read and listen to lectures about tarot cards. And then I went to buy perfumes - and, of course, I could not buy anything except the smell, named after the lasso Tarot.

There are no stories about third spirits - they smell so that I eat this smell for breakfast every day instead of dessert. Sometimes I just walk up to the shelf to sniff them once again because I can't breathe. I got them from the very reader Masha. Masha, thank you so much. I'm so happy.
