“Why do you need this?”: Athletes about defeats and sexism
It is difficult for all of us to experience failures and even less to discuss them with others. What to say about athletes: high expectations, pressure from coaches, the public and the media, victory at any cost — all this leaves no room for open talk about defeats and makes their adoption even more difficult. Women in big-time sports often hide their emotions also out of fear of falling into the trap of sexist stereotypes about the weak field. Under Armor launched the Unlike Any campaign about strong women in sport who, thanks to their will, go forward despite obstacles and gender stereotypes. Together with the brand, we asked three girls to tell what defeat means to them, how they learned to cope with fears, and where they take the strength not to give up. {{Hero.name}} {{heroes [activeInfo] .name}} {{heroes [activeInfo ] .age}} {{hero.name}} {{hero.age}} UNLIKE ANY Under Armor project about women who have no equalBrand talks about talented athletes who are not prevented from remaining strong even sexist stereotypes.
