Wonderzine has repeatedly spoken about new Ukrainian designers: We wrote about Ksenia Schneider, Lila Litkovskaya, Svetlana Bevze and a dozen of their colleagues. Another Ukrainian who is worth paying attention to is Yasya Minochkina, who created the brand in Moscow. For the third season in a row, she shows off her collections at the Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days and Fashion Week in Britain, China and France. The basis of Yasi's work is the dress: it shows both classic feminine dresses in the style of the 1950s or on the floor, and futuristic dresses made of textured wool. From season to season, the girl sews bombers and leather jackets, as well as overalls - velvet or silk, but of course a simple and free cut. Minochkina is very attentive to technologies and fabrics: she can order material in Japan, which will be specially made for her for half a year, or she can sew most of the collection out of polyamide silk.

Yasya Minochkina graduated from Central Saint Martins and listened to a course of lectures at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. A year and a half ago, the girl launched a brand name - and showed her debut collection on the Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days, organized by Darya Shapovalova. The designer immediately fell in love with local buyers: her collection began to be sold in Kiev stores. Ukrainian shows the next collection not only at MBKFD, but also in Paris at ArtGeorgia, an exhibition of young designers from Georgia and Ukraine, organized by talent scout Sofia Chkonia. After another season, Yasya Minochkina becomes a participant of the Fashion Scout project - an influential platform for young designers from around the world. Ukrainian woman demonstrates her collection at London Fashion Week: there she is celebrated by the British version of Vogue. My mother is an architect, and my father is an artist and sculptor. I grew up in a creative family, graduated from art school. I decided to become a designer in my childhood: my mom's classmate helped me learn how to sew. At school I was chased out of school so that I could change my clothes: Imagine that everyone has a dark green uniform, and I have an emerald green! They threatened to deduct me, summoned my mother to the director on the carpet. 10 years ago I won a competition in which 400 people participated: it was necessary to create a New Year's costume for myself. The main prize was a trip to Paris with a tour of the house of the great Yves Saint Laurent! When I saw Paris, I decided to make a hobby my profession. A year and a half ago, I created a brand name: teachers in Antwerp and London were opposed to calling her by my name, but slowly got used to it and even began to pronounce the name correctly. Now I live from collection to collection, I spend 19 hours a day on my feet. My main task is to make elegant clothes that emphasize the best qualities of their owners and do not overshadow them. My clients are active and work hard, and I want them to feel comfortable from morning to night. I am very inspired by architecture, travel, trips to the theater and books on the history of fashion. The muse comes unexpectedly: sometimes I make 100 sketches, communicating with friends and family.
