We have already talked about the collaborations that are worth waiting for this summer. Unfortunately, some worthy examples were announced too late, so they did not make it to our list. One of these will certainly appeal to all fans of both the early Nintendo video game era and the Vans brand: their joint collection is dedicated to the heroes of Mario Brothers, Zelda Legends and Donki Kong. In addition to the traditional Sk8-Hi and Old Skool sneakers, the line includes backpacks, caps, socks and rubber slippers that fit perfectly into the sprawling trend for “ugly shoes”.
The variety of summer shoes is confusing. After nine months of endless moisture, you want to wear it all at once: on the one hand, light sneakers and white sneakers, on the other - mules, slippers with ties, sandals with chains and other décor. By ourselves, we single out beach shoes: modern rubber slippers often look so good that it seems their place is in the city too. The same applies to the pair from the Vans and Nintendo collaboration collection with the inscription "Game over", made in a familiar font for everyone who has ever played Mario. They are easy to imagine in combination with white socks, but in Russia, a similar postmodern technique is still too treading on a sore spot.
