Big, sweet and high-calorie kronat

Once a week Wonderzine will talk about things to which we have weakness, contrary to all the arguments of reason and to love which, it seems, is not supposed to. In the first issue, a hybrid of a croissant and a donat, which the only pastry shop in New York has invented and baked in and which can be tasted only by signing up in advance or holding up a giant line.
On May 10, New Yorkers woke up, went to work and did not yet know that their city was slowly engulfed in a wave of insanity. It was on this day in the bakery Dominique Ansel Bakery that the first crown was born - a mutant who brought the New Yorkers and guests of the city to madness.
A hybrid of croissant and donat, fried in grape seed oil, quickly became inhumanly popular, and after a couple of weeks the queues for the kronatas began to line up at six in the morning, and the bakery owner imposed a restriction: initially the buyers were allowed no more than six servings in their hands, later the amount decreased to three. The exclusivity of the kronatos lies not only in the complexity of their creation (the preparation of one kronat takes two days), but also in the fact that you can buy a delicacy only in Dominique Ansel Bakery in Soho.
Calorie Kronat no one has yet officially announced (the bakery owner, naturally, refuses to disclose the recipe). One can only guess: in the usual croissant - 231 kcal, in donate without cream - 198. In both cases, approximately 47% are fats.
Cronates spawned a whole segment of the black market: with the help of the popular online bulletin board Craigslist, enterprising New Yorkers are offering to deliver kronatas to your home for $ 40 against the $ 5 bakery set. Officially, the mania for Kronaty was declared abnormal when a man tried to sell Kronat for blowjob on Craigslist (and even managed to get some positive answers before the ad disappeared from the site). Many craftsmen are tirelessly trying to recreate the recipe of popular pastries. Dominique Ansel himself does not recommend repeating his experience, but few people agree to listen to a monopolist - the opportunity to try kronat is too tempting. For example, the correspondents of The Guardian have already conducted successful tests and managed to prepare a replica of the kronat, and at Wonderzine they are only thinking about it.
So far, kronatas can only be bought at:
Dominique Ansel Bakery, 189 Spring street, New York
