Such a woman - an independent and freedom-loving Rebecca, which was played by Marianna Feytfull - can be seen in the "Motorcyclist", released on the screens in the 68th year. Pulling the leather suit on a naked body, she goes to meet a new life, which is not destined to happen. But the very fact of the appearance of such a heroine is important: in most films about racers or bikers, women rarely come to the fore - most often they get the role of the “second number”. And this is a simple explanation.

The whole culture of motor sport is masculine, and this is inevitably accompanied by equally ardent sexism. Motorcycles for a long time were considered exclusively "male business", and the girls behind the wheel were perceived as an exception. Actually, a girl on a motorcycle is a bright cliche, to which screenwriters often resort, wanting to show the strength, “courage” and exclusivity of a girl. You can remember even the heroine of Uma Thurman in "Kill Bill" or Catwoman. But everything is gradually changing, girls are increasingly riding a bike, are united in the motor community and motorblogs, winning the role of the subject, and not the object of desire. And designers, of course, could not ignore it.

How motoekip became fashionable

The topic of motor sport has been one way or another for several seasons in a row in the collections of Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton. Tight-fitting trousers of several color blocks could be seen in the pre-fall-2016 collection, and heavy leather jackets - at resort-2016. But still, the current collection of the brand has become the apogee: a direct reference to the very tight jumpsuit, which easily mimics the shape of professional athletes, has already been used.

The jumpsuit itself - almost the most convenient piece of clothing - appeared indecently on the autumn-winter runways a large number of times. There is plenty to choose from: designers offer a variety of options, from classically evening and deliberately sexy (for example, with lacing) to those that openly refer us, in fact, to the uniform of motorcyclists - tight like a second skin, like Lacoste, Yeezy or Diesel Black Gold.

However, motorcycling in the new season is not just head-on quotes. The most remarkable and delicate collection inspired by the theme was shown by Chloé. Their main source of inspiration is the adventurer and the girl of many talents, Ann-France Dotwil, who set out on a motorcycle tour around the world in the 70s. Favorite designer Claire Veit Keller era represented in the new reading: leather suits, jackets with pockets, and even the characteristic overalls look uncut and interesting.

What to wear

Hand on heart, this trend is difficult to apply for the conditions of the Russian winter, which means it is worth taking it into service right now - as long as the weather permits. If you have little idea how you can spend the whole day in tight leather jumpsuit, stop your choice on one, small element.
