From drag to fetish: The power of makeup

We wrote a lot about the fact that makeup can be adjusted to any mood and task. You can go to the party with an unequivocal inscription all over your face, on weekdays to the strictest office - to wear lipstick in different ways, and in moments when it is not clear what you want - to buy a mass market at the Girlfriend and make up for them all at once. But make-up is capable of more: as a picture of any content is painted on the canvas, any image with its own history and character can be painted on the face. What is this option for lovers of cosmetics, and not makeup artists and make-up artists? Yes, at least to expand the comfort zone, beyond which many in general never go. If from time to time or even once try to try on the mask of another person, you will be able to experience emotions and gather food for thought for six months ahead.

We decided to demonstrate the transformative possibilities of makeup in practice and came up with four different characters for one model. We’ll make a reservation that it was makeup that was chosen for the shooting, not makeup: the latter was not created for life, but the wearability of any makeup depends only on the courage of its creator. So, four images, each of which is easy to read. Facial “tattoos” - like the characters of the famous Dantsig Baldaev’s encyclopedia “Russian Criminal Tattoo”: with the current fashion for yard and marginal visuality, the no-no and yes idea jumps to the prison subculture. BDSM aesthetics is also gaining momentum, and fetish elements include fashionable young designers in their collections. Health Gothic and Gothic do not lose their relevance that year, and not only for visitors of clubs and communities of interest. And excessive - if there is some measure - drag makeup in the wake of the popularity of the Rue Paul show and the struggle for LGBTIQ rights spreading around the world meets the agenda almost more than the others in this shoot.
