How to care for yourself in the winter: 10 face oils

oil - universal care means and is perfect not only for dry skin. The oils are excellent, firstly, by an instant action (and therefore good as SOS-agent), and secondly, by the variability of use - they can be applied instead of or on top of the serum, added to the cream or used independently. Now almost every brand has released its own version of face oil - and Moore Sobolev, the editor-in-chief of the Fierce & Cute blog, has gathered ten favorite ones that will make the coming season a little less awful.

Absolution Addiction Night & Day Face Oil

Absolution is one of the most pleasant organic brands that I have met: very thoughtful, but without excessive pathos, which ruined more than one good idea. Isabel Carron, the creator of Absolution, tried to combine conscious consumption with the urban way of life under her brand - it turned out to be an honest and pretty brand. The line is small but meaningful, and the packaging design is such that the hand reaches for it itself - another quality that distinguishes Absolution from most eco-brands, which usually do not bother with the beauty of bottles and boxes. One of the main products of Absolution is an oil-scented oil, collected from extracts of 27 plants. It is not fat, but rather nutritious: if the skin is not very dry, you can even do without the cream.

Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil

The oil appeared in the assortment of the expensive French brand Sisley three years after the launch of the mask with a black rose, which instantly became a bestseller and remains so to this day. Outrageously luxurious dry oil smells like a mature, languid rose, subtly lays down and makes the skin glow from the inside. The composition is balanced and natural, although it does not amaze the imagination (based on phytosqualane, plant oils and algae extracts). This oil is recommended primarily for owners of dry and dehydrated skin, but it is so well absorbed that it has fans with combination skin. Anti-Aging is written on the bottle, but there are no specific anti-aging components here, so you can use the remedy at that age when it’s too early to fight wrinkles - the improved skin tone has not harmed anyone yet.

Biotherm Liquid Glow Best Skin

This novelty was called revolutionary in blogs: Biotherm oil is universal and is intended primarily for those who have never been fond of oils, in particular, for young girls with oily and combination skin (for dry, however, also suitable). The texture of the tool is very light, almost watery, so even haters of oils have a reason to try it. The main ingredient is declared antioxidant astaxanthin, which praises not only the manufacturer, but also the authoritative founder of the site Beautypedia Paul Begun, who usually scolds everyone and everything. Use Liquid Glow is proposed in various ways, including non-trivial, for example, abundantly put it as a mask.

Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate

New York-based Kiehl's does not apply to the fact that they are dripping oil into all their funds, but it was their Midnight Recovery Concentrate that several years ago forced thousands of people to change their negative opinion about such products. The sibling of this lavender miracle, the Daily Reviving Concentrate, was the main novelty of the brand this year. Like the night concentrate, daytime is completely made on the basis of oils, but its texture is light and non-sticky so that you can apply cream, sanskrin and makeup from above and at the same time feel great. By the way, all the whey and brand concentrates are well mixed together: if there is a need, you can add moisturizing and anti-aging whey to the concentrate.

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

Facial oils have been introduced into the brand's assortment by its founder Jacques Courten-Clarence. Now Clarins produce three types of monomas: sandalwood for skin with redness, lotus for oily skin and blue orchid oil for dehydrated. The latter is the most nutritious and my favorite: it is dense and concentrated, but at the same time not giving the nasty feeling that the skin is covered with plastic wrap. For a harsh winter, this is an ideal tool: with it, even very dehydrated skin will literally look better overnight, especially if you supplement it with the nourishing HydraQuench Rich Cream. The oil can be used in a course, but it is still very dense, so I prefer to apply it as an SOS remedy a couple of times a week so as not to “imbued” the skin.

Darphin Revitalizing Oil

The brand Darphin produced face oils, which she called aromatic elixirs, before it was cool: working with oils is the basis of the brand concept, so you can trust him in these matters. There are several aromatic elixirs, each with different composition and purpose, but last year such a universal option came out for the face, body and hair - for novice fans of oils and just for those who find it difficult to choose. However, taking into account the volume of 50 milliliters, it will be too wasteful to use oil on the body and hair - but in order to get acquainted with the brand and its principles, such a bottle is enough. It is best to apply Darphin oil in a specific technique, so they really work in full force.

Erborian Dongbaek Camellia Essence

One of my favorite brands in the nursing category, the Korean-French brand Erborian combines Asian and European formulas and does it extremely well - I haven’t yet come across any bad products in the brand’s assortment. On the round box with Dongbaek Camellia Essence the words "elixir", "essence" and "serum" are written, but in essence and in composition this oil. At 72%, the elixir consists of camellia oil, traditionally popular in Asian (mainly Japanese) care for a light, non-greasy texture and regenerating properties. The essence is really very light - so much so that the manufacturer suggests using a cream after it even in the morning: after all, Asian rituals of care involve many means.

The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil

The brand has always loved to look for ingredients in different exotic corners of the earth and buy them from local farmers: the social program “Fair Trade” has become just as recognizable as the hemp hand cream and Love Your Body slogan. The new Oils of Life series is made on the basis of three oils: Chinese camellia, Egyptian cumin and Chilean rosehip. Restoring oil for the face, the main product of the line, is proposed to be used in combination with the rest of the series, but it is in itself worthy of attention. Consumed very economically, which should somewhat smooth out unpleasant emotions from the price tags at the means of The Body Shop: all the new items of this year are very interesting, but stand unexpectedly mercilessly.

L'Oréal Paris "Luxury Power"

In the line with the ambiguous name “Luxury of Nutrition”, which thinks of hunger rather than cosmetics, there is not only classic oil, but also specially intended for combination skin - a rare beast, especially in the mass market. The oil is designed to simultaneously nourish dry areas of the face and narrow pores where it is needed. I have dry skin, so personally I cannot evaluate such qualities, but I can look at the texture and composition - which, by the way, is more than good, especially considering the merciful price. Balancing and porosuzhivayuschee effect is achieved by the essential oils of lemon balm, rosemary, marjoram and lavender, and the texture of the tool is so light that it absorbs without a trace for a few seconds.

Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil

Last year, the brand known for its philosophy of philosophy (all Caudalie products are made on the basis of grapes and wine) produced two nightly face products based on grape seed oil. Both are 100% natural, but the detox oil from the Polyphenol C15 line is drier and lighter in texture, and my favorite is the dense Overnight Recovery Oil from the excellent Vinosource line, which I consider to be one of the best moisturizing series on the market. Overnight Recovery Oil is not sticky, but rather saturated, so this is an option primarily for dry and dehydrated skin. In combination with the most nutritious cream from the same series, the skin will probably look great even at a temperature of minus 20. I would not want to check, however.
