To whom to subscribe: Silicone sculptures by artist Esme Wagemans

We continue to tell about decent accounts in social networks through which you can view the whole world.

Esme Wagemans is a Dutch artist who, in 2015, launched the Second Skin project, which emerged during active discussions about the ban on female nudity on Instagram. Vagemans created realistic silicone images of female body parts, and then photographed them on models: the artist's contribution to the movement of #freethenipple was immediately appreciated.

Of course, in sculptures Wagemans is interesting not only the obvious call for liberation. She seeks to study the place of a person in the world of high technologies, she is interested in the philosophy of transhumanism and calls herself a science fiction artist: her work is a look into the future. As a model for Esme Wagemans, the singer Sevdaliz recently appeared - we hope for other joint women's projects, but for now we recommend signing to everyone who is not indifferent to physicality in contemporary art in the best manifestations of the topic.
