“You have a bucket there”: How women are taught to train “intimate muscles” and how it is dangerous
"Vaginal simulators should be on each, along with a toothbrush, - broadcasts the instructor of one of the Moscow centers of sexual skill. - No doctor will tell you about the need for an intimate workout; it looks like a conspiracy of gynecologists, who, looking into you, say that everything is normal, but they lower that your intimate muscles are flabby and wrinkled, like the skin on the face of an old woman. "
Electric Miostimulyator Pelvic Muscle Trainer
This is one of the largest training centers in Moscow, which prides itself on communicating with foreign sexologists, hangs up certificates on the walls and insists that their sex shop is almost the only one in the city where dildos are “not fake” and are made of “truly safe” "silicone. I sit at the training and wait for me to finally learn how to train "intimate muscles." But the moderator then tells how dangerous the wrong approach to classes, then advertises other programs of the center.
The rest of the classes will be presented to us by the “unique” method of inflating “intimate muscles” and saying that only it guarantees health and orgasms, and everything else - vumbilding, vaginal eggs (“we are not chicken, girls!”) And even simple squats in the gym - supposedly accompanied by a high risk of prolapse of the uterus. A center presented by a technician that promises results for twenty-eight days rests on the use of a myostimulator, a device that tones muscles by acting on them with weak current discharges. True, in the training manuals, which were distributed to us, several exercises with vaginal balls were described. I asked if only them would be enough.
Weak current discharges really stimulate muscle contraction, and myostimulation has long been used in people who are immobilized for one reason or another - it helps reduce muscle atrophy in a person who is bedridden or moving on a wheelchair. For a person without movement disorders, such an impact is incomparable with the work of the muscles during normal exercise. True, this does not prevent numerous manufacturers to sell muscle stimulants under the guise of "effective simulators" and promise that using the device you can get chiseled dice press, lying on the couch.
“Only if you study every day for four months, but nobody has managed to do that yet,” answered the moderator. In general, the exercises were accompanying. We were promised that with their help we will learn to control the muscles, but only myostimulator can strengthen them. If you want strong muscles - buy an expensive device with dubious efficiency. The rest of the training, in addition to advertising other courses, was devoted to psychological manipulation, pushing for any expenditure, just to solve problems that actually do not exist, and as a result become loved, desired and happy.
From the words of the instructor, it was possible to conclude that happiness is only available to women who own Thai massage, deep-blowjob techniques and, of course, with trained muscles that you can “suck non-erect penis, chew it inside and spit it up”. This is not the first training where I listened that with the help of proven sex techniques you can not only lure, but also tie, fall in love, marry a man to yourself, and then not be afraid of cheating. We were told about Thai women, whom rich men have married for sexual mastery, and that mothers have been teaching them to control the pelvic floor muscles since the age of five - it seems the trainer has seen only good things in the sexualization of children.
According to non-governmental organizations, nearly three million people are involved in sex work in Thailand, including 800,000 minors. They are not protected by law, often subjected to violence and punishment by pimps, and the number of people infected with HIV in the Thai sex industry, according to 2014, was almost half a million people.
Waving a miostimulyator to the female students, which is “sold only today” at a 20% discount, the moderator has moved to a new level of conviction. She told how one man practically forcefully dragged his wife, who had recently given birth, which caused her muscles to lose elasticity.
“He shouted to her right in the hall:“ Come on, go rock your bucket! ”You girls, of course, can say that he is bad and humiliated her in front of everyone, but isn't she guilty of that? that he is a man and wants good sex, "concluded the presenter. If at first we were told that we would be more appreciated for sexual mastery, then hints went further that without this skill we risk to be less loved.
The simulator kGoal, working on the principle of biofeedback
And finally, another set of arguments: health. An infinite number of pseudo-facts from the female anatomy fell on us, after which everyone unbearably wanted to "take care of themselves." They explained to us that "gynecological aging begins" at twenty-one, after which the muscles slacken sharply and become loose. "Do not be offended, girls, but if you are over twenty one years old - you have a bucket there." Amazing accuracy: the feeling that everything changes irreversibly right on the twenty-first birthday.
Miostimulators, laser procedures, radio frequencies and ultrasound - This is only part of the funds offered for the "rejuvenation of the vagina." The turnover of this market today amounts to billions of dollars; only in 2016 and only in the USA, 512 million procedures were carried out, and sales of devices amounted to 100 million dollars.
Of course, the pelvic floor muscles and the truth can lose tone - and, unlike the vaginal smooth muscles that are not consciously controlled, they can be trained. Although regular exercise can contribute to orgasms, strong muscles are needed primarily for health and wellness. In case of excessive stretching, urinary incontinence may occur, for example, recently given birth by women who often cough or sneeze. Muscles lose their tone and with age, and exercise helps to maintain good health and recover quickly after childbirth. Here only the techniques offered in the courses may be ineffective and even unsafe.
In the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology, V. I. Kulakov, a whole section is devoted to training the pelvic floor muscles; Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Aesthetic Gynecology Inna Apolikhina says that in twenty-one years no "gynecological aging" occurs. The main factors of loss of tonus are childbirth and age (but much older than that mentioned by sex trainers). The doctor explains that the first symptoms can appear after forty years and later - although it is very individual, and even giving birth does not always lead to loss of muscle elasticity: "It happens that a woman has several children, but muscles and ligaments are elastic, and some complain about problems after the first birth. "
As for the "wrinkles" in the vagina - it is not age-related changes; the structure of the vagina itself is folded, and with age it is not related. Wrinkles can appear on the large genital lips (of course, also not at the age of twenty), as well as on the whole body and face. According to Apolikhina, the stories that improper exercise will provoke a prolapse of the uterus is a commercial move that has no scientific basis. The only problem with which girls come to the doctor after training conducted by various methods is hypertonus, that is, excessive muscle tension.
In addition to strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor, which in reasonable quantities benefits the health, women are offered many interventions (surgical and not only) aimed at creating the "ideal vulva". Researchers note that although it is important for a woman to receive assistance if there are specific complaints, there is no “perfect” anatomy, and the request for it is shaped by the ideas that are distributed (primarily in porn) how the genitalia “should” look.
The optimal way to train the pelvic floor muscles, according to the doctor, is training with simulators that work on the principle of biofeedback. We talked about one of these devices; There are different options on the market, but the essence is the same: the sensor is synchronized with the computer or smartphone, showing the compressive force, which muscles are involved, and which ones need to be “pulled”, and so on. As a rule, training takes place in the form of a game: a dolphin floats on the screen or a butterfly flies to the beat of the gadget, you can track the height and trajectory of the “flight” - all this increases motivation.
You can strengthen the muscles and exercises without any devices - although the effect will not be as fast and noticeable as explained by another gynecologist at the Department of Aesthetic Gynecology, Anastasia Sokolova. It's about the standard set of exercises of Kegel and the like. The basic principle is the alternation of contraction and relaxation of muscles. Training time - alone or with a simulator - should be limited to a quarter of an hour. Otherwise, there is a risk of over-stimulation and hypertonus and the result may be reversed: squeezed muscles can change the position of the urethral sphincter and contribute to urinary incontinence.
But with simulators like the vaunted myostimulator everything is not so clear. Nurse Elena Tumpurova, who supervises the intimate gymnastics patients, explains that the simulator, which stimulates muscle contraction due to weak discharges of electric current, is suitable for those who are not yet ready for regular exercises - for example, women who have painful breaks after delivery. And there is a nuance: at the classes in the women's center they said that the miostimulator is also good for health: "If you have cysts or other formations, then they will disappear." In the clinic, before using such a device, an ultrasound is performed - experienced doctors know that the discharges of the current not only do not resolve the cyst, but can also provoke its rupture. So following the instructions of a sex trainer in an attempt to “become irresistible for a husband” can lead to dangerous medical complications.
