13 young beautiful perfumers

For the last few year s there were many cool perfume brands, which are no less steep their founders: artists, designers, artists, musicians. We chose 13 ideal (externally and internally) perfumers and brand founders, whose work is interesting to follow in the same way as they themselves.

Julian bedel

The extremely prolific Argentine perfumer, advocating sustainable (the closest translation - "sustainable") production: even the cases for its fragrances Fueguia 1833 are made only from fallen trees native to Bedel Patagonia. Julian surprises and inspires above all with his energy: in four years of work he created from scratch (ingredients that he may also get himself) over 50 flavors, participates in exhibitions and, judging by instagram, leads a life that is not devoid of epicureanism.

Oliver valverde

Before starting to sell candles at home at small fairs (the Oliver & Co. brand began with them), Oliver did nothing more than that - in part, this explains the originality of his brand. The most interesting, perhaps, stage of his activity is the Nebulae collection dedicated to space: two scents could not be more timely (thanks to films, designers and charming astronauts, space is now at its peak) he created, based on his synesthetic associations. Valverde, which is especially cool, thinks over the product entirely: from the very smell to the patterns on each candle (they, by the way, reproduce the geometry of Oliver’s favorite spaceships) and generally pays great attention to detail, which is always +5 to charisma.

Ben Gorham

This kind of lists can not be imagined without two names: Gorham - the first, the second try to guess. A tall Swede, in the past - a basketball player, he founded the brand Byredo back in 2006, and all this time he manages to remain both independent and popular. Gorham does not interfere with the ingredients himself, for him this is done by Jerome Epinett, Olivia Giacobetti and Michel Almarac, but he thinks over and develops the brand himself: it seems that the laconic and thoughtfulness of a person is passed on to every laconic bottle and candle.

Kilian Hennessy

Okay, there is no need to guess, the second is Kilian Hennessy, heir to which empire is clear. Kilian seems to have collected all the qualities necessary for success: mind, energy, money, unimportant interest in business, appearance and charm (the latter, if you work in the beauty sphere, is indeed a great advantage). Anyway, the brand By Kilian to match it: sensual, bold, impudent and not afraid to flirt with vices in different ways - and this, as we remember, is a powerful magnet.

Romano Ricci

Another well-born and young perfumer Romano Ricci makes the brand Juliette Has a Gun, not devoid of self-irony. Saying that the handsome grandson of Nina Ricci grabs stars from the sky in the perfumery field will be an exaggeration, but deny any success will be wrong - to create high-quality commercial flavors is also not easy, and positively charming people are always and everywhere lacking.

Niklas Lidin

Another representative of Swedish perfumery, Niklas Lidin, has been working with his wife, Cristina, since 2011. Their Agonist recalls the two already defined brands: Byredo with its restraint of presentation (although the brand’s fragrances are duplicated in the fancy collectible packaging) and, oddly enough, Argentine Fueguia 1833 - with care and even love of nature. In his non-perfumery life, Niklas is an art director and digital artist, and therefore it is even more interesting to disassemble his perfume.

Antonio Zuddas and Giovanni Castelli

The blood is symbolic, mystical and fertile for a variety of interpretations - Antonio Zuddas and Giovanni Castelli have grasped it: their young brand Blood Concept is dedicated exclusively to blood. Perfumes for them, as well as for most on the list, are not the main occupation and inspiration: Zuddas is a copywriter and photographer (albeit, always with smells), and Castelli is a designer and traveler. Both, by the way, emphasize that everyone loves his dog: basset hound and bull terrier - and although they are not on our list of the best breeds, this is always a plus in karma.

Philip di Meo and David Frossard

Philip di Meo and David Frossard are behind the gloomy (recall, this is a plus) and the characteristic brand of Les Liquides Imaginaires and think in trilogies: the first is dedicated to the perfumery art itself, the second to noble alcohol, the third is on the line. The partners met at Philip's exhibition (he is a well-known designer and worked with Dom Pérignon and Baccarat), at which David, who has long been involved in fragrances, and invited him to make his own brand. We can not keep silent that Frossar has long been involved in kickboxing and on arrival in Moscow, went to the same fighting club, which we mentioned.

Michael Boedy

In general, Michael is a self-taught hairdresser who has tucked many professionals in his belt: he made his debut in Nick Knight's filming for Vogue. After almost 15 years, after working for the main glossy magazines and making hundreds of hairstyles at shows, he founded the first of his perfume brands with the seemingly immodest name Boadicea the Victorious (actually dedicated to Budikka, an ancient warrior), and three years later second, Illuminum. By the way, the fragrance of the latest brand chose Kate Middleton for the wedding.

Alessandro Brun and Ricardo Tedeshi

Another duet with a monoid and respect for the roots: in Masque Fragranze, Alessandro Brun and Ricardo Tedeshi are working on the opera and bowing to their native Italy. The guys do not have the dexterity - they methodically dissect a static topic at first glance: each fragrance represents a stage, all together constitute, in fact, an opera. It sounds cold, but for such enthusiastic and hot-tempered guys, fresh water cannot just organically - and it does not.
