What to wear in autumn: 10 fashionable looks

The upcoming trendy autumn season is preparing a lot of surprises, among which there are quite unexpected ones - knitted trousers dragging on the floor, and giant-sized monstrous sweaters, as well as well-known but forgotten things, such as satin dresses and leather coats. Given the latest fashion trends and our climatic conditions, we have collected 10 relevant and beautiful images for different occasions.

Knitted trousers and voluminous coat

Trousers are many sizes larger, almost completely covering the shoes, - one of their fashionable hits of the coming autumn season. Long knit trousers, seemingly slightly stretched, look especially impressive in an ensemble with an oversized coat and slyly wound scarves, as in The Row pre-fall - 2016 collection. Comfortable to the touch, cozy knit trousers can now be easily brought from the house to the streets. There is, however, one restriction about which everyone knows: too long pants in Russia are only suitable for dry weather, and even then our sidewalks leave much to be desired. The most striking thing to combine knit pants with other things from knitwear and voluminous outerwear (and at least voluminous scarf). To surely get warm, pay attention to the giant stoles.

Leather coat and sneakers

We have already written about the fact that a leather coat in the new autumn season is a special account of designers, that this is a thing of all times and a reasonable investment. The most outstanding among the variety of options offered by designers, now look minimalistic functional leather coats without unnecessary details, as in the collections of Jil Sander, Céline, Off-White. The trendy combination in the new season: a leather coat, wide, straight trousers and sneakers - you’ll have a relaxed urban practical look that suits every day. For a warm autumn, a leather coat can be replaced with a lighter vinyl coat.

Velvet trousers and bar-jacket

The history of the bar-jacket is inextricably linked with the name of Christian Dior, who first showed the cream jacket with the thinnest waist and basque in his spring-summer 1947 collection in an ensemble with a fluffy black skirt. After Dior, the bar-jacket was repeatedly interpreted - sometimes beyond recognition. The Céline pre-fall - 2016 collection has a casual version of khaki with large patch pockets and a belt in combination with velvet pants, in the Antonio Berardi collection - an option in black for evening and office in combination with lace translucent skirts and straight trousers. Now the bar-jacket and its variations can be worn almost with sport trousers and hoodie, but if you want to support it with another obvious trend, choose trendy dresses, trousers and velvet skirts.

Coat-dressing gown and dress with open shoulders

For warm, but not very hot first days of autumn, the perfect combination of an open shoulder dress with a light robe, which can not only save from the wind and make the outfit more relaxed, but also become a beautiful and unexpected addition to the evening image. Such coats, bathrobes can be found, for example, in the autumn-winter collection of the brand Attico (and you can, of course, look in the mass market). For a fashionable party, it’s better not to come up with a dressing gown: coat your robe over a tight knit dress or silk with open shoulders, put on mules resembling home slippers (after mid-September, perhaps, with socks), and complement the image with large vintage earrings.

Dress and high boots

High boots, as well as boots, are most clearly beaten by Demna Gvasalia, first in his brand Vetements, and then in the first collection for Balenciaga, where he occupied the post of creative director. Gvasalia is, above all, a great stylist who knows how to take popular things and put them in a new context. At the designer, it is easy to combine interesting boots, for example, tight-fitting legs, like stockings, from shimmering lilac fabric or rough leather with some kind of subcultural symbolism or dresses like our mothers - with frill and polka dots.

We advise you to "trim" the designer and the combination of the A-line dress with high black boots. This image can be seen in many collections of the new season, for example, in Isabel Marant and A.W.A.K.E. - Only they have more relaxed options. The coolest and unexpected will be combinations in which boots and dress are stylistically differently charged with, say, futuristic boots and vintage dress.

Satin skirt and blouse

Satin skirt and shirt can make together an unusual set that can diversify office wardrobe, as well as serve as an alternative to a cocktail dress and become an excellent option for an evening out. In the first embodiment, it is best to combine such a set with the most simple and unobtrusive things that will not create additional elegance. For example, a men's jacket made of thick material can be thrown over the top of the shirt, high boots, sneakers, ankle boots or oxfords can be put on the legs, and the hair should be carefully gathered back. In the extreme case, the satin shirt can always be replaced with a cotton one, and then you get an equally interesting, but still more relaxed look. In the second version, you can experiment with color combinations and not be afraid to complement the outfit with all sorts of accessories.

Shirt with a sailor collar and cropped trousers

Shirts and blouses with a sailor's collar replace the high Victorian collars we wore last year, and blouses with small bows - before last. Such a collar looks infantile and old-fashioned in a good way, adding to the image of tenderness, thanks to it, any monochrome shirt looks interesting. You can combine this with anything, depending on the case. Flared cropped trousers are the safest option at all times.

Leopard coat and Cossacks

Leopard print items are one of the clear fall trends. You can buy such a coat in any European second-hand, whether it be from cotton or faux fur. We are sure that in the fall the mass market will also be pleased with an abundance of animal print. About the Cossacks, we seem to have said everything, but if you suddenly missed it, they too will be everywhere this fall. If you are looking for a replacement for sneakers or biker boots - pay attention.

School sundress and a thin sweater with a zipper

Sundresses, reminiscent of those that were worn at school - a thing for all times. Under them you can wear turtlenecks or T-shirts. Get ready for this piece of clothing to become as much loved as combination dresses this summer. It is worth wearing them both with boots on a steady heel, and with ubiquitous sneakers, and, of course, with rough shoes.

Dress in the style of the 80s and shoes with a steady heel

Recently we have already seen the return of the 70s and 90s. The return of the 80s was a natural and expected step - get ready and make mindboards from the series "Dynasty". Pay attention to the Saint Laurent couture show - you shouldn't copy this. In life, it looks too theatrical. But to be inspired and find a similar one-shoulder dress for an autumn party - why not?
