7 gadgets to replace the Nike + FuelBand

Masha Vorslav

At the weekend it became known that Nike has fired most of the team that worked on the FuelBand trackers. The company also announced that it is minimizing the development of the next iteration of the bracelet and will stop their release in the future. Despite the fact that the second-generation gadgets, the FuelBand SE, will not be withdrawn from sale, and the Nike + FuelBand App will be improved, we decided to go ahead and chose a replacement gadget.

Jawbone UP24

6 990 rubles

An improved version of the UP bracelet can synchronize with a smartphone (iOS, Android) via Bluetooth and process information in real time. Therefore, the gadget may remind the user to still move - if up to an hour X (set independently) activity was not enough. The smart alarm clock, of course, remained: the complementary application compiles comprehensive statistics about the time spent in a dream. The only thing we cannot understand is why there are only two colors left to choose from: black and - no, not white - orange.

Shine

5 490 rubles

Misfit Wearables Shine is the most elegant tracker in the world (forgive everyone else). The gadget itself is a small round aluminum plate, which can be inserted into the strap and worn as a watch, and can be attached to clothes with a magnetic clip. Shine can track activity (walking, running, cycling and swimming) and sleep, and sync to iOS and Android.

Fitbit flex

$100

The Fitbit family has several gadgets, but we stopped at the universal Flex. Unlike the clothespin Zip, the bracelet can track not only activity, but also sleep (for fairness, we note the fantastic capacity of the Zip battery - it lasts for half a year of work), and the form factor of the bracelet seems to us the most convenient.

Amiigo

While in development

This is another very beautiful gadget that looks like a FuelBand (it is still important for us that the gadgets look wrong). The creators of the bracelet, Abe Carter and Dave Scott, consider the movement to be one of the most important things in life - albeit not an easy one. Therefore, they set about developing a device that would turn fitness in the broad sense of the word into just a pleasant part of the day. The key is in social functions: you can discuss your results and measurements with friends and publish on social networks. This is the only gadget from the list that cannot be bought yet, but we are sure that the story with it will not take such a turn as with the infamous GoBe.

Withings pulse

5 900 rubles

The sensor weighs only 8 grams, keeps charging for up to two weeks, is equipped with a minimalist screen, which, nevertheless, shows everything you need. Unlike the others in the selection, the device measures not only the number of steps and calories burned, but also the pulse and height of ascents. And yes, the application (iOS, Android) provides information in a visual format - in graphs.

Tinké

4 990 rubles

Tinké, strictly speaking, cannot be called a wearable gadget, but it works in tandem with an iPhone (the fifth generation too), which we carry with us every day. The device is small and light, it measures the pulse, the oxygen content in the blood, the intensity of breathing and changes in heart rate, and also calculates the zen index, that is, the level of relaxation or tension.

Basis

7 990 rubles

The most advanced of all presented gadgets, Basis looks like an electronic clock - but it can do a lot more. Sensors on the back of the dial measure the pulse, body temperature, intensity of exercise. The gadget sorts this data in such a way that you can study your behavioral patterns - and adjust them. And yes, you can follow the sleep too.
