London Fashion Week: Day Two
Obviously, waking up after parties is harder. First show Louise gray It was early in the morning, and half of those present on the back of the hand had their hearts drawn in felt-tip pen: yesterday at PPQ the bracelets ended, and on the guests began to draw indelible marker. That's strange - Louise Gray didn't really like me, but Susie Bubble I came from her in indescribable delight and almost applauded standing. Although in transparent plastic shorts, filled with foam balls, and colored chiffon with beads, Suzy herself would look great. But as if the toy shoes made for the Pollini show were good - Nicholas Kirkwoodwho became the head of the brand, clearly had a hand in them.
All the cafes of the Pret-a-manger network within a kilometer radius from Somerset, the Topshop and On / Off grounds are occupied by girls in black lace and leopard. Yes, the old news, but this LFW is exactly what the leopard print is the new black.
Queue at Topshop Unique
The most common questions about shows: Sitting invites? Standing Invites? No invites? Please queue! First, happy owners of seats come, followed by all those who received invitations in general: you can get very lucky, and you still find yourself in the first row - often the rule of any free space that you managed to take. After that, the queue on the street still remains: those who have accreditation, but no invitations. If there is room left in the hall, they are also allowed.
Taxi Addison Lee
Wait in long queues, as in Unique, today was much more fun. Black cars drive up to the building all the time. Addison lee - This is a taxi service in London with the most convenient booking system in the world. They even have an iPhone application that remembers all addresses and finds out the club’s address by its name, even if it’s wrong to write. This service in London is used by the entire fashion world, and it is very easy to calculate the status of a person by what kind of car he ordered. Models arrive at the most simple Ford, and red-haired Nicola Roberts, a member of the dubious, but very famous group of Girls Aloud, came to Merecedes Viano. In England, the pop world and the fashion world in general very often overlap, and Nicola herself, for example, is now proclaimed the muse of Henry Holland. In the queue, we also met a very vigorous Lesia Mint, a stylist who moved to London to study. She told about the overly anemic models at yesterday's Bora Aksu show - and she was touchingly indignant that it had been fashionable for a hundred years now, walking on the catwalk like that, barely moving her legs.
Photographer shoots blogger Susie Bubble with a friend
There are even more photographers in the yard of Somerset. A touching scene: Suzy Bubble, who had just flown in from New York, came to greet and shoot street fashion, but she was not allowed to work. Approximately 20 photographers attacked her, so after half an hour she waved her hand and just left. Susie has a sweater from the current Prada collection, which I also dropped in on until Yulia Vydolob this morning brought me the mohair Forget Me Not brand stylist Arthur Lomakin.
Photographers and those whom they want to photograph are sometimes very difficult to distinguish from each other. Most of all I am amused by English eccentrics, men, apparently inspired by Galliano, - with painted mustaches and designer rags in the style of Jack-Sparrow. In England, the desire to belong to a particular subculture is very strong, and each tiny circle has its own strict rules and its own dress code. Perhaps that is why quite a lot of similar people - I haven’t yet seen unique outfits, except that these were outfits that I don’t really want to repeat.
Blog bar
London Fashion Week is very well organized. In addition to all sorts of pleasant things such as printing a badge in 5 seconds on the accreditation barcode or maps and timetables, there is a blog bar in which there are computers, and above each is a screen with a broadcast from the shows.
At the Newgen exhibition
At the entrance to all the exhibitions are not angry guards, and cute girls. We went to the exhibition of young brands Newgen - This is the prize and financial support that the British Fashion Council with Topshop provides to promising designers. Peter Pilotto and Mark Fast - from the main names; It is very nice to see among them David Coma, a designer from St. Petersburg. The exhibition takes place on a huge terrace overlooking the Thames, and every time we go through it, I want to stay on it all day.

Topshop Unique as always, it looked quite extravagant: models with lush hairstyles came out in translucent chiffon and prints inspired, according to Topshop chief designer Karen Bonser, with sun highlights in a flower garden. As for the length, no compromises were observed: either ultra mini or ultra maxi.

Glam collection Henry Holland turned out to be bright, with metallic accents and a very pleasant faded denim in the spirit of the 70s.
