How to start playing football

Somehow we reassured why you shouldn’t divide sports into male and female, as a preface to a series of materials about “non-female” sports activities. We have already figured out how to start boxing and crossfit, and in a recent article about rugby we carried out several parallels with football, and we cannot but write about it.

For those who in childhood did not play in the yard with boys: football is a team game on a grass field, where players need to score (with all parts of the body, except hands) as many balls as possible into the gates of the enemy and protect their own. Football develops reaction, coordination, agility, endurance. Training a beginner is not only serious physical exertion, but also work with a team, so for full-fledged classes you will have to overcome shyness. "Football is a great opportunity to develop communication skills, since the game is impossible without interaction and cohesion," explains Nastya Kazin, goalkeeper of the amateur team Whirlwind. You will also need to include the head: the game involves a constant analysis of the actions of rivals and allies, as well as their capabilities. “You should always think where you give the ball, at what angle, how to hit, how to reduce the firing angle. You interact with other players, you monitor everything at once and constant calculations are carried out in your mind,” says Nastya. "I would like people to move away from the idea of football, as about" men, running after the ball, "senseless tribunal battles and see all the hard work that is being done on the field."

Training lasts no more than two hours, usually one and a half. It begins with a necessary and well-known to everyone warm-up, preparing the body for intensive work. Then comes a small introductory part when players perform basic warming exercises with the ball. After - the maximum load and the main part of the workout: work on schemes, draws of “penalties” and “corners” or working out the technique of ball possession, strokes and shots on the goal for beginners. It all ends directly with the game, and afterwards with a "hitch" or "tightening" with stretching and relaxing the "clogged" muscles necessary for recovery. “At the first classes, the coach assesses your skills, so you need to forget about“ I can't ”or“ I don't know how ”and do as it turns out. Expect great physical exertion and insane fatigue, because even beginners are not given concessions and will require so much same, how many from the rest ", - says Nastya.

Since the game of football involves a lot of running, the leg muscles will come first in tone, but the rest will soon catch up. In fact, football training is a cardio load, so each exercise will help burn fat, strengthen, and not grow muscles, which in combination will lead to overall weight loss. “From aerobic exercise, when running, excess water goes away, the press and muscles of the lower extremities are pulled out. With normal nutrition and exercise, body tone is provided,” says football coach Irina Savelieva. Nastya confirms: “Football players have very beautiful legs, because first of all they will strengthen themselves from class to class. Well, the gluteal region takes on the look that everybody is chasing now.”

Food should be high-calorie, but not fat. It is necessary to observe a break between meals and occupation from two to four hours. "Everyone decides for himself what he wants from sports. If it is weight loss, you need to reduce the intake of fats and carbohydrates, increase protein intake. If you just want to keep yourself in shape, you need to stick to a healthy diet, that is, the balance of these fats, carbohydrates and proteins. There are many articles on healthy nutrition in the network, and everyone can make a program for themselves or with the help of a specialist. The main thing is to understand what you want ", Irina advises. Nastya adds: "It is very important to drink a lot of water. A large percentage of moisture is lost during perspiration (especially if the workout takes place in the heat), and it is necessary to restore it." "But you cannot drink water in large quantities during games. Usually they take a small sip or just moisten the mouth, otherwise the load in combination with water can become bad for both the stomach and the heart. until the end of the match, "- warns Irina.

"To play football, you need a T-shirt, shorts and boots. For competitions, you also need leggings and shields," says Irina. Mike and shorts will suit any, but it’s better not to hurry with buying shoes - first you need to find out on which surface the classes are held, and then - try on many pairs of football shoes and choose one that suits the abundance of companies and models. The goalkeeper still needs to purchase gloves, pants and a jacket to protect against damage from falling.
