A. L. James seized control of the sequel to "50 shades of gray"

Do not cease the news from the fields of "Fifty shades." The first flurry of publications and audience reviews about the film subsided a bit, but we were immediately reminded that there was a lot of interesting things ahead, as they say. According to Variety, the author of the book, E. L. James, decided to fully take the continuation of the film into his own hands and write his own script.

As far as can be judged by the neat, but straightforward interview of the film director Sam Taylor-Johnson, there were always conflicts between her and the writer on the set: James. - Ed.) It was difficult to accept. " Sources close to the filmmakers report that Sam Taylor-Johnson and “50 Shades of Gray” scriptwriter Kelly Marcel left the project - the reason, obviously, are creative differences on the stage and full control from the writer.

As you know, selling the rights to film her erotic bestseller, E. L. James unscrewed the hands of Universal Studios, securing even the opportunity to decide how the main characters will look on the screen. Given that the film is still making timid attempts to humanize Anu and Christian and make their characters less cardboard, one can imagine what kind of blood this gave the film crew.

It is worth noting that if James really adapts the second volume of the trilogy, “Fifty shades is darker,” then for her this will be a debut in screenplay. However, the lack of experience does not bother her. How much time it takes for a writer to write a script and what will come of it, we just have to find out.

Whether we see Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in the continuation of the film is still unknown - but it seems they have no particular choice. Obviously, they will have to accept the situation and have patience.
