"The theater is closing. We are all sick!", - in one of his stories, Daniil Harms very accurately described the physiological sign of disappointment in life. However, most often nausea occurs in completely domestic situations: from driving in a car or traveling by ship to toxemia or low blood pressure. In most cases, to relieve the symptom, it is enough to take special drugs, but American scientists have come up with a new non-drug way to deal with the ailment - the electronic bracelet ReliefBand. According to experts, its main advantage is the ability to refuse antiemetic drugs. No dizziness and drowsiness, no risk to the fetus: with the help of a bracelet you can avoid the side effects of dimenhydrinate based medicines.
ReliefBand Technologies' innovative product uses programmable oscillations of a specially selected frequency: waveforms and amplitudes that stimulate the median nerve of the hand. The bracelet generates signals, sends them through the nerve to the brain, and thus controls nausea. ReliefBand has been approved by the FDA for the non-pharmacological treatment of nausea associated with seasickness and early toxicosis in pregnancy. Before using the device, you need to find a special trigger point on your wrist, apply an electrically conductive gel on it, and then put on a bracelet. The gadget has five intensity modes that the user selects, depending on preferences and the severity of the condition. The creators of ReliefBand promise that as soon as you fasten the strap of the bracelet, nausea will subside.
