Bluebox: Delicate jewelry with precious stones
IN WEEKLY RUBRIC Wonderzine presents young designers and tells where and how you can buy their things. Our heroine this week is Galina Denisova, the founder of the Bluebox jewelry brand, which produces elegant and delicate jewelery made of gold and precious stones.
Almost all designers of successful Russian brands, before starting their own business, worked in the related field. Andrei Artyomov, the creator of Walk of Shame - a professional stylist who collaborated with the magazine L'Officiel; Gosh Rubchinsky managed to work as a hairdresser at TONI & GUY; Natalia Alaverdyan, who invented the A.W.A.K.E. brand, is also a famous stylist, fashion photographer, once a fashion director and part-time art director of Harper's Bazaar magazine. The heroes of this column, which we described in previous editions, also did not design clothes directly before creating their own brands: Maria Kalashnikova, the creator of Bats, was a graphic designer, and Katya Ukhlinova from MIR Stores was a fashion editor.
So Galina Denisova, the founder of the young jewelry brand Bluebox, is far from new to the fashion business: Gianfranco Ferré and Versace are in her record of service and the opening of the first flagships on Kuznetsky Most . At some point, she decided to leave everything in order to focus on her own feelings and understand what she really wants to do next. Galina has been fond of various types of needlework since childhood, from macrame to papier-mâché dolls. She always had a desire to do something with her own hands. In the end, this resulted in its own jewelry brand.
Today, the Bluebox brand is developing in two directions. The first - Bluebox Choice - is a few small jewelry brands, behind which are people who inspire the girl. Most often, these are American brands that Denisova likes with her style, creative freedom, the ability to combine the unmatched, and the Japanese, who are close to her in their spirit with their sophistication, perfectionism and perfection of performance. The second direction is the Bluebox brand itself, for her Galina herself designs and creates jewelry. Materials - gold and precious stones - brought from different countries. As for the stones, the girl prefers "pink sapphire, topaz and, of course, emeralds and diamonds - in the classic cut and chipped, so-called raw diamonds".
Now Galina and her team are working on creating their own online store and showroom, which may also include a workshop. In the meantime, Bluebox jewelery can be purchased through official Instagram stamps and in Leform and UK Style stores.
