Marieyat: Lingerie that emphasizes the natural beauty of the body

Our release this week is dedicated to the brand of underwear and clothing for the house Marieyat. Its founder, a graduate of Central Saint Martins College, took up the problem of creating panties and bras that would not only be beautiful, but - most importantly - comfortable to wear.

Underwear is a niche in which the most interesting things happen lately. New stamps with a fresh look at the linen issue appear everywhere, including in Russia: the masses of synthetic lace, push-ups, thongs with ridiculous bows, it seems, are of very little interest to anyone. Designers are increasingly turning to natural materials, restrained colors and in every way seek to emphasize the natural beauty of the body - no more silicone tabs.

Our current heroine, designer Marie Yat, was born and raised in Hong Kong and was always interested in fashion, so after school she moved to London to enter Central Saint Martins. The girl was practiced by Hussein Chalayan and Yang Li, the work with which she still remembers with trepidation. Free time from study Marie devoted to studying the cut of women's underwear and swimwear, and after graduation decided to use this knowledge in practice.

As often happens, Marie decided to launch her own brand of underwear because she could not find things in stores that she would like and suit herself. Marieyat seamless soft linen made of natural cotton and pastel-colored silk, which is designed to be as comfortable as the men's, but remain soft and sensual. All things - from bras and tops to panties and stockings - are tailored so that the girls in them was first and foremost comfortable. Marie does not deny that in the future she could work with other techniques and fabrics, including lace. However, it is immediately stipulated, the result will be little like a lace underwear in the traditional presentation. The designer admires the variety and beauty of women's bodies - this is noticeable in the Marieyat lookbook: the heroines of the pictures are minimally retouched and, obviously, are not ashamed of any scars, stretch marks, or natural skin creases.

Now Marie Yat spends time between Gonkog, where the brand's clothes are sewn, and London. Sales of the new collection will start on the official website of Marieyat in November - the online store should start in the coming days. Things can be bought in sizes from XS to L, and their price will vary from $ 30 to $ 125 for linen and from $ 80 to $ 300 for home clothes.

I have always been inspired by the beautiful women who surround me - my mother and friends. I was interested in the figures of women in Chinese erotic art and the images of the female body, on which stretch marks, scars, bruises are visible - it is fascinatingly beautiful. I spent a lot of time studying Asian youth and online culture. I would like the underwear to not change the natural forms of the female body, but simply emphasized what Mother Nature gave. In Marieyat we are trying to find the very balance between comfort and sensuality.
