Healthy habits of The Blueprint editor-in-chief

The concept of "healthy lifestyle" I managed to tire a little, because everything will not lose a touch of edification. Perceiving it as a set of axioms - not to drink alcohol, eat on a schedule, do a lot of sports, - we forget that we are all different and there is no single standard. In the new category “Lifestyle” we will ask different heroes and heroines about a healthy lifestyle with a human face: talk about the importance of taking care of yourself and pleasant ways to make life more comfortable. In the first issue, Yulia Vydolob, editor-in-chief of the online magazine The Blueprint, tells you what to eat, how much to sleep and how to live in order to feel good.

“Feeling good” means to me forget that I generally have a body - the farther, the less often I notice such a seemingly simple and natural sensation. In order not to ache back, did not break the neck, there was no feeling of tiredness in the morning. Everything that I do as part of my wellness program, by and large, is directed only at this.

I start the day with a good slow breakfast.for his sake and get up early is not a pity. This is a guarantee of a good mood and the fact that before lunch I will not be drawn to senseless snacks and sweets.

I DON'T BELIEVE FOR THAT - THIS IS NOT A CONSTRUCTIVE. My bad habits are mainly related to food, and it is better for me sometimes to allow myself a little extra than to experience additional stress due to feelings of guilt.

Skipping meals is not an option for me: I am very hard to bear the feeling of hunger. I love to eat terribly, while the food itself is not important to me without the decor: a place, a company, a book or a movie for food - all of this matters (and sometimes contributes to overeating, but I try not to bring this up).

When traveling, I try not to overeat: buffets in hotels, unpredictable portions in restaurants and a cursed children's habit of keeping a clean plate behind you can get in the way. Do not be greedy, do not order extra dish or dessert, do not lash out at the wonderful "sanctions" products. A physical form support inevitable walking trips.

I have long been accustomed to the features of my body and learned to build a wardrobe around them: because of the uneven outlines of the foot, I will not wear fashionable glove leather shoes, and because of flat feet, heels, but my mood does not deteriorate. I have no complaints about my body and weight.

All I want is to feel good and maintain this state in some pleasant ways. I walk from 5 to 15 kilometers a day, according to phone statistics, and do yoga. I would like to go to yoga a couple of times a week, but even when I manage once, I still feel the difference in the state.

The gym did not go to me at all: Not only is it boring, because you still need to often make a great physical effort, do it through “I don't want”, and I don't like it. Without pleasure from the process, no regularity comes to me.

The hardest thing is given to me the regularity of sports. There are no problems with walks: I do not have a car, but there are two small children with whom I have to be active even at home. But for extra classes you have to pull time with meat or titanic efforts to overcome laziness.

The most helpful health advice which I have ever received is rather trivial: slow carbohydrates - for breakfast, for dinner - proteins. The habit of not having supper seems to me the most vigorous delusion on the part of healthy eating. However, it seems that this myth has already been debunked.

Basic life hacking for me - whenever possible, start each meal with fresh vegetables and never eat up after your children.

Age brings more cost to caring cosmetics and medicine and makes me take care of myself. Now my metabolism is no longer as fast as at 20, and not sleeping at night or eating fast food has become physically impossible, but the skin and health condition at my age is much worse for many, so I'm not complaining.

My standard solution in stressful situations - Turn on the brain and take a drop of Rescue Remedy. Still not sure what the secret of their effectiveness is - in the grass collection or in the smell of whiskey.
