What to wear in spring: 10 fashionable looks
WE ARE UNSTANTLY FOLLOWED for new trends, but many of them cause a lot of questions: how it is suitable for life? How and with what to wear crop tops, hairy sneakers, plush jackets and transparent everything? Recently, we talked about hoodie and warm outerwear, relevant primarily for the cold season. Now we show 10 images that can be tried on right now, well, or a little closer to summer. With what to wear transparent dresses, jackets with voluminous shoulders and palazzo trousers - in our material.
Floral dress and skinny pants
The floral print is perhaps the most predictable trend of the spring-summer season - I remember the phrase of the heroine Meryl Streep from “The Devil Wears Prada”. If, in spite of all the flourishing variety, you don’t see yourself as the heroine of the paintings of pre-Raphaelites, we recommend you to add a dress with strict classic trousers. We especially liked the option presented in the Ellery book. The combination of trousers and a lengthened top with a floral pattern was also relevant in the 70s and 90s. Given that the fashion for the last decade is back, it's time to pick up a dress and pants as similar in texture and color as possible - for a harmonious set.
Sheer dress and shirt
For the second year in a row, designers have been releasing models in absolutely transparent clothes: airy dresses made of tulle and organza, flying pleated skirts and thin silk shirts. All these minimalistic "naked" outfits look spectacular on the catwalk, but at the same time they are easy to adapt to everyday life. If you are not imbued with the philosophy of nudity, but are not going to ignore the fashion trend, we recommend making a multilayered set of several transparent things at once - so the effect will continue, but will become barely noticeable. Or you can do otherwise: wear a transparent top or tunic over a thick thing, such as a shirt.
Strip Mix
The strip, the main print of the new season, is present in almost every collection: wide lanes can be found in Proenza Schouler, narrow ones in Miu Miu; Black-and-white contrasting colors are found in Carolina Herrera, and multi-colored in Elie Saab. The uniqueness of this print is that it combines perfectly both with other geometric patterns and with its own kind - do not be afraid to combine several types of stripes in one set. Well, if things are similar in color, but differ in texture. At the same time, you can choose a bright accent one - as in the Fendi show.
Polka Dot and Victorian Blouse Dress
A print of peas is so versatile that no season can do without it. This spring is especially popular classic, black and white version, like Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior. If you want to balance the frivolity of the peas, you can combine it with a strict blouse in the spirit of the Victorian era: with a high deaf collar and sleeves-flashlights.
Bright raincoat and palazzo trousers
The only requirement that designers have presented to the trench of the new design is to be bright, as in the Marni or DKNY collection. Since yellow has become one of the main colors of the season, we vote for juicy lemon and neon shades. Trenchcoat will look great in a set with wide trousers, which we wrote about earlier, and with their shortened version - culottes. When choosing a trench, pay attention to the length of the coat. Flat shoes are a versatile complement; Alternative for bold - Cossacks or boots.
Jumpsuit and coat
A jumpsuit along with a bright retro-colored leather jacket is the main thing of the season. Designers showed both elegant models from flowing fabrics, velvet and with a deep neckline (Balmain and Brandon Maxwell), as well as casual jeans options (Vanessa Seward). For those who prefer full black black to spring rainbow colors, Rosetta Getty offers to choose a dark velvet jumpsuit and wear it with a voluminous coat / bathrobe. Your shoes can be a bright accent: as never before are top-of-the-day mules that can be worn with socks, or sneakers of a rich shade.
Jacket with voluminous shoulders and pants trousers
This spring, designers offer to abandon the boring office options for jackets and experiment a bit with cut and texture. Phoebe Failo showed a trouser set with hypertrophied shoulders, and Sarah Burton a fitted suit in a large cage. Simone Rocha did not stint on the frills and turned the classic jacket sleeves into lush Victorian puffs. Transferring the catwalk trends into real life, you can balance the voluminous top with straight cut trousers. And, if your dress code leaves space for creativity, we suggest that you choose large earrings or a necklace with transparent crystals as jewelry.
Crochet skirt and military style jacket
Manual techniques like embroidery, macrame or crochet are not new to us either. Especially often they are found in spring-summer collections, and the current one is no exception. In order to balance the image, you can bet on the jacket in military style, which every second street brand has, and coarse shoes and gentle kitten heels are suitable as shoes.
Pink with pink
Despite the fact that the main color of the year, according to Pantone, was the color of greenery, designers actively support the "pink yarrow", which took the honorable fifth place in the list. In the spring collections pink is present in almost all shades: from delicate strawberry to rich fuchsia and magenta smoke. Gentle-purple can be found in the Rochas collection, pink neon from J.W.Anderson, and rich berry from Topshop Unique. The most comfortable ones are muted and pastel shades, like the color of English rose, pink porcelain or mother-of-pearl. Choosing a monochrome image, do not forget that the more unusual textures and shades - the better.
Sweatpants and overcoat
We would not be surprised if you are already tired of reading about Hoodie, sweatshirts and T-shirts with logos - thanks to Demna Gvasalia for that. In the upcoming season, designers go farther and add street style details to classic looks. For example, Fenty x Puma combined sportswear with skirts to the floor and corsets in one image, while Virgil Ablo from Off-White turned training pants with stripes that we liked so much into a full-fledged element of a pantsuit. Feel free to combine workout with a long coat of classic camel color and add a bright accent - for example, blue sneakers.
