This week our heroine is fashion consultant Olya Karpova. She spoke about things inspired by art and architecture, collecting and finds from Florence and Venice.

I have a lot of beautiful things on the way out. I rarely buy something simple and always think about what I can pass on to my daughter or granddaughter in the future. Fabric plays a crucial role for me: silk, velvet, leather. I hate synthetics. I love Russian designers very much: Alexander Terekhov, for example, and the Denis Simachev brand. On the second one I once worked, and now Denis Simachev is a rarity, unfortunately. The so-called French chic is close to me in spirit. Things inspired by art and architecture are absolutely my story. Such as Roksanda Ilincic, for example, and Alisa Kuzembaeva. I think that clothing to some extent is also a language in which you speak with others.

I can definitely be called a fan of leather jackets. Every year, one or two new leather jackets are added to my wardrobe. Apparently, the children's affection for the group "Cinema". I bought this jacket quite recently in Moscow UK Style. The dry jacket, though not a classic, is ideal for many things.

Striped vest COMME des GARÇONS - classic. I think it can be found in every fashionable girl. Topshop create perfect jeans for girls. This model is a mom-jeans bought in different colors. I love them very much.

I like everything brilliant, so I could not walk past the golden sandals. Thanks to them, every casual look becomes elegant, which means that you can already go somewhere to dance. Dior earrings are simple and brilliant, and therefore wear them often.

This vintage dress from New York is perhaps the most favorite. Some things in my wardrobe hang for a long time and are rather collectible. This dress is just that. I stayed in the closet for a long time until I put it on the ball of Tatler magazine, where it turned out to be very appropriate. Ankle boots for the young London brand Bionda Castana are perfect for him.

I have never been a fan of Louis Vuitton, but I think that this season they have a lot of cool non-dull things, bags and shoes. This thing is one of those. Immediately sunk into my soul.

I call the vintage Lanvin costume "pensioner". Despite the fact that there are practically no good vintage stores in Moscow, I bought it here. Dress Russian brand Alisa Kuzembaeva appeared to me recently. Brand designer lives and works in Moscow; Alice is an architect by training, but decided to become a designer. She draws all the prints herself, and I really like what she does. Talented.

The white jacket of the Japanese conceptual brand Sacai has already visited the Zemfira concert. Prada ballet flats love very much, despite the fact that I stumble into them because of the long noses.

Prada skirt bought in Florence. Very beautiful flowers are embroidered on it, the same as in the Gardens of Boboli are blooming. I often buy such basic things from H & M, they look very decent. In general, H & M is my favorite mass market since the time when I went to Germany as a student. Then in Russia it was not there yet, and I brought from there a mass of everything. By the way, H & M in Paris is the coolest.

I wear black glasses of Prada every day. The second Dolce & Gabbana bought on the opening day of the exhibition of the Italian designer Fabio Novembre, which she oversaw. Miu Miu came to me because I thought about horn-rimmed glasses for a long time. But the last, in colors, bought not immediately. In Moscow, they were not found. Helped a friend in Florence.

My real hit is patchouli oil. It is no worse than perfume: a very persistent, pleasant smell that you rarely meet. I buy a bottle every year at an old pharmacy in Venice on the Grand Canal, which is at least a hundred years old, probably.

Books "Russia in Vogue" and "30 Millennia of Painting"

The book "Russia in Vogue" presents photo shoots taken in the USSR by great photographers for western Vogue during the Cold War. I adore “Russian shots” in Vogue, inspired by the architectural beauties of Russia, the brilliant revolutionaries of art Bakst and Chagall, Nabokov and ballet legends.

"30 Millennia of Painting" is a universal history of the arts: everything from rock art to pop art, the work of artists and their brief biography. I do not remember who gave it to me, but this is my handbook.

Books "Cosmic Communist Constructions Photographed" and "Furious Marquis"

I collect books on architecture and especially love books on constructivism. "Cosmic Communist Constructions Photographed" is an album shot by French photographer Frederic Schobain. It presents the late Soviet "cosmic" architecture. It is unbelievable what and how we were able to build.

"Furious Marquis" - about the Marquis Kazati, Venetian party girl and muse. She arranged for the loudest balls in her mansion in Venice and walked along the narrow streets with a leopard on a leash. She is very inspiring to me. By the way, Peppy Guggenheim Museum is now in her mansion.
