This industrial revolution has affected everything related to cars, including the production of paint for cars. The brothers Charles and Joseph Revson saw something more in the creation of opaque paints in the new technologies and began the production of nail polish in 1932.

A few years ago, the most daring statement in the fashion world was black lacquer on short nails, but now unusual colors and shades, textures and patterns are gaining popularity. A year ago it was OPI matt varnishes - especially the dark blue Russian Navy Matte, in the spring - the mint-colored Chanel. In the collections of lacquers, as well as clothes, there is a strict seasonality: in the spring they are bright or pastel colors, in the fall - dark colors.

I don’t really care about the main colors of the season and the must-have varnishes. The fact that they are considered the most fashionable does not mean that they will fit any bow. Therefore, in my basic set of varnishes for shooting always at least 300 colors. Colors like Mint last season or today's Chanel Khaki are pleasant, but this is more the word Chanel than uniqueness. There are varnishes that I love just for color - this is Illamasqua FW 2010 Viridian, iridescent green and black, like wings in beetles, and Raindrops is a unique gray with crushed glitters: it can be used as a simple gray with a barely noticeable shine, and can be applied sparkling by layer.

I like the fact that nail design has now become fashionable. Of course, it should be combined with clothes and style - I am not a big fan of toon on each nail just like that, for no reason. It is much more interesting to work not only with the image, but also with the form and texture. It is difficult to do at home, but now there are special stickers on the nails, which are very easy to use. The best ones are Nail Rock, which you can buy at non-professional stores like Topshop or www.asos.com. Nail Rock makes a lot of patterns and ornaments, but the most popular ones - and they will remain so long - are smooth golden nails and leopard print.

Now I like bright colors. China Glaze has very cool ones: trash ads, but the palette is excellent. My favorite is emerald green and grass green. I also use rich red with red sparkles, glittering and sparkling, called Ruby Pumps. And still bright pink Sally Hansen Hot Magenta. I want to buy a soft lilac shade, ideally matte, but Urban Outfitters has such a glossy one - Mauve.

I like brown and ocher yellow, but I often paint my nails the color of my favorite clothes. Gray recently two weeks in a row painted the color of the jacket, although he has long been not fashionable. Fashionable all sorts of beige colors, but they are pained to paint.

Now I plan to buy all shades of red in American Apparel, this varnish is really cool. And the names - for example, Passport Blue, it struck me outright.

I always have about 20 different colors in my collection, but in my life I wear several shades. Blue Satin, Chanel - I use from the moment of appearance, the perfect color. Chanel with shades of lacquers is generally good, now they have released a beautiful Steel in the Soho collection: I’m going to try it if I get to TsUM. Uslu Airlines Light Cool Gray has been my favorite color for many years. One disadvantage - it is sold in Colette. But Urban Outfitters last year copied it very well, which saved me, because I get to London a hundred times more often than to Paris. Illamasqua DWS Cement Gray is the perfect color for asphalt.

I always have a few flakonchikov black, but I practically do not use it.

It was not easy to choose just five favorite varnishes from your collection. So these are not the main lacquers of the season or even hits, but a personal and rather random top-5.

1. OPI Dating a Royal: The so-called royal blue is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world, and this varnish reproduces it extremely accurately. Very effective shade - bright, but noble - and lustrous glossiness texture.

2. Nubar Greener: Polish addicts traditionally love green varnishes, and the Nubar brand last year made them happy with the Going Green collection. Greener is, in my opinion, the most beautiful of the six varnishes of the collection: such a noble Shimmer that even conservative people do not turn up their noses from it.

3. Chanel Holographic: rare, limited product. I once saw him on eBay for $ 130. Amazingly beautiful lacquer, not a single holographic I have ever seen can compare with it. It is very difficult to photograph: shimmering on the nails, it gives a completely hallucinogenic effect.

4. Orly Star Spangled: I really like red lacquer, and this is one of the best readings of the classics that I have met. Made after the famous varnish China Glaze Ruby Pumps, but surpasses it, in my opinion, in all respects.

5. Eyeko Lilac Polish: varnish of my favorite London brand Eyeko. They make, above all, the charming design of their products, but she herself is very good. This cold lavender - one of the few similar shades, in which the hands do not get a corpse color.
