Today, our heroine Sonia Batovrina, Cirqle's head of communications, spoke about the style of buffalo girls, the influence of hip-hop culture, street brands and magical amulets.

Under the hat wearing an army scarf, which gave me a close person. This thing is one of my favorites in my wardrobe. In addition to the fact that the scarf is beautiful, it is also functional: it lets in air and at the same time retains heat. I love things that are form and function, that is, they have an unusual appearance, but at the same time are functional. Linen dress - a rarity from the 80s, it is from the collaboration of Jean-Paul Gautier with a Japanese brand. It is also a form and function: a simple cut, but the material and cutouts on the back make it ideal in hot weather. My image is inspired by the joint work of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood in the late 70s - early 80s: it was the style of buffalo girls who wore wide long skirts and huge hats. McLaren has a song that is called "Buffalo Gals", 1982, and a video that I advise you to watch. Farrell Williams' huge hats today are from there.

White total onions. Top gave me a Gee, one of the bosses Patta. The guys from the Amsterdam brand Patta are my friends. I know them from the age of 16, we grew up together and hung out. They had cool hip-hop parties where I always went. Patta exist as a brand and community for 10 years. During this time they have made a great contribution to street style, other brands and the culture of Amsterdam. Pants-skirt look very beautiful - I like to mix high-fashion things with high-street things. I grew up on hip-hop culture, which largely determines my style and attitude to life: to do something out of nothing, finding a creative approach - such is the philosophy of hip-hop.

I met the designers of the brand Marques'Almeida in Paris when I was there with my friend Rita Zubatova. I always support brands that I like, so I bought a denim top already in Moscow at Kuznetsky Most 20. 70s vintage silk pants I love for their deep, expensive colors: navy and turquoise. They also look like things that Dries Van Noten does. I feel luxurious and expensive in them. Earrings have been found in Tel Aviv. I bought them from my grandmother on the street, she does them herself. I love gold very much.

I found the top H & M in the children's department, where I often buy something for myself - everything is always cheap there and you can find something that you cannot see. COS leather sweat pants like for street style, but they are made from expensive material - soft thin leather. It amuses me that Kanye West wears the same pants. I’m wearing a classic Nike Air Max 95 sneaker model, I've been wearing them for about eight years now. It seems to me that during this time the 95th model has already been reissued four times. I have been collecting nikes since I was 15; For a long time I lived in Amsterdam, where, probably, there are about a hundred of my collection sneakers left.

OS76 is the only Russian high-street-brand in Moscow, they have a cool concept, everything is made very high quality and beautiful, from good materials. Mark is made by Denis Kaiser, he is part of my family. When I travel, everything, from Marcelo Burlon to the guys from Highsnobiety, all the time ask what brand it is. All my travels can be viewed in my Cirqle. This vintage top has open back and mesh. I wear it, throwing something on top. I like his duality: in front - business, on the reverse side - party, and of minimal design in addition. Silk wide culottes I love and often wear as baggy pants.

With a leather white cap Supreme, I almost never part. Brand Supreme wear, probably already fourteen years. My dad lives in New York, so I have been there many times and I know a group of people who started Supreme, from the time they themselves worked in stores. There is a film from the 90s, “Kids” - these people from Supreme can be seen there. I love this brand, I know it well and I feel, I have nostalgia for the atmosphere of New York 14 years ago. It seems to me that there is a similar atmosphere in Moscow now, that is why I live here now. Hockey t-shirt is also OS76, exclusive, only Denis Kaiser and I have this. I often wear it on trips, and it seems to me that people can break their necks when they turn around sharply.

I often dress like a boy because I love it when I feel comfortable, but at the same time I decide for myself that sometimes I have to wear skirts with dresses. I do not like to think about the body and clothes, it is important for me to feel free. I feel that way in this skirt. The top is perfect in the heat, on the body it is almost not felt. Sneakers were presented to me when I came to a Nike event in Berlin. For me, Nike is one of my favorite brands, they combine comfort, new technologies and design. I wear sneakers with high-fashion clothes for a long time and generally notice that a lot of things that are part of me and my style become a trend over time.

This is a vintage jacket from the 90s. When I was little, everyone went to these. They were worn with workouts and Air Max, which then cost the crazy 300 guilders, almost like 300 euros. Sneakers could steal right on the street - in the 90s in Amsterdam there was a very criminal atmosphere. When I found this jacket in the vintage market, my happiness knew no bounds. Mike Gosha Rubchinsky gave me Rita Zubatov for her birthday - she is very symbolic, given that I love the sunrises. During the dawn I bloom. Light is what inspires me in people. Bag gave my ex-boyfriend. Brought her from Japan. She is from the category of things that I can wear forever. Sneakers from the 90s, a strange Dog brand, I found them in a Moroccan shop in Amsterdam and bought for 10 euros.

My friend Kostya gave me these nameless glasses, he makes glasses under the Fakoshima brand. I love leggings, they are super-comfortable and perfectly fit my figure. Gold case - Marc Jacobs: gold - it did not go at all, it is an esoteric substance, for me it is alchemy. The golden color itself warms me. Boots - the most comfortable of all that I have. Well, I really like the gold details on them.

Vintage beads bought in New York. I had earrings for them, but I lost one. She wore this dress a couple of times, including the New Year in Tel Aviv. Orange is the national color of Holland, so it was impossible to wear this dress there, but in Moscow I can afford it. I like to combine strange colors. Take at least these lilac suede “clarks”: another Wu-Tang Clan sang about this shoe model. Bought them for a long time in New York. The Wu-Tang Clan performance in the 90s was one of the first shows in my life. Looking at this shoe, I remember that day and legendary musicians.

These are all memorable amulets. A small statue of a tummy with a diamond is a gift from my ex-boyfriend. Now we are the best and closest friends. The stone heart is a gift from friends from Moscow who helped me in the most difficult moments here.

Frame and Photo

In a golden frame with an angel - my photo, I'm here 4 or 5 years old. I have a funny haircut, which I built by getting to the scissors on the fridge. I made the haircut on the eve of the children's casting of models, having missed my chance to walk on the runway. Photo taken in New York. The frame is a symbolic thing with a double bottom. It depicts an angel, and I stole the frame itself in a hardware store when I was eight years old.

Dad gave me a very beautiful bracelet for 25 years. The chain is actually a men's bracelet that I found on the street when I was 18. I wear it on my leg. Star gave grandmother. I love her for her form, not for religious reasons. This is an ancient magic sign, it has a lot of value, wisdom and values. I generally love culture and myths.

Collection of stones and minerals

This is a collection of pebbles that I found. Among them is amethyst - the stone of my zodiac sign, Pisces. Labradorite, which shimmers beautifully like gasoline. Lapis lazuli is a historical stone of the Sumerians and Egyptians. Royal azure stone. And the white stone in the form of an Indian from North America reminds me of the need to be grateful to the ancestors.
