Sasha Zalessky, co-owner of The Burger Brothers
Under the heading "Inner World" we, as you might guess, are aiming to study interesting young people. A new hero, caught in our field of vision, is a former advertiser Sasha Zalessky, who, along with his best friends, opened the Burger Brothers burger at Red October. We went to Sasha at the Products cafe, where The BB window is based, to try a burger with ginger-tomato sauce, and asked him about the fashion for a beard, "partisan" fast food, football and favorite movie characters.
About beard
From high school I wanted to wear a beard, like some sea captain. Well, football fans - and I was - was the trend to wear tanks. I watched the older comrades in Lonsdale sweatshirts, who were erect under their ears, and since 2008, as they say, they haven’t shaved their heads. Probably eight girls out of ten like boys with beards. Why is it necessary to deprive the pleasure of the fair sex? Many people at first treat our beards with some irony, indicating that it is now fashionable. But then it turns out that these people would also like to wear a beard, but it simply does not grow with them. Shaving off my beard, apparently, will make some urgent need, I can not imagine anything else. But after three weeks she will reappear.
About tattoos
It seems to me that old school tattoos are a bigger trend than beards. As for the inscriptions on my hands, I also have this. But this rather concerns not a trend, but an informed choice. Good things stay good no matter whether they are trending or not.
About football
I am a fan of Spartak. In contrast to the entire Moscow crowd, which chases the “horses”, I follow the old tradition of “meat” comrade. Has got from the father, despite the fact that the father did not go to football. I am from the marginal Moscow region of Biryulyovo West, which historically was Spartak. So I had a normal Moscow childhood with a courtyard, bungee, hide and seek, and football from night to morning. Every guy who grew up in the late 90s, had to go to football because of the fact that nothing else existed in principle. And now, because of access to information, the whole world is open to any 16-year-old boy.
About access to information
Previously, it was necessary to obtain information in all possible and impossible ways. There was one shop with the right clothes that were expensive, and you saved on them. At first I recorded any music on cassettes, and later I downloaded one song over the modem all night. Or some kind of correct magazines that you wanted to read were passed from hand to hand. I still have a box in my house, which keeps all kinds of fan stories that I cut out from newspapers. Previously, in the total mass, you immediately read rare like-minded people. Now everything is available, any trends are adapted, accepted by anyone. I don’t mourn, of course, that this is good or bad, it’s just there, it’s evolution and globalization. In such a world we live.
About downshifting
People, especially young ones, no longer seek to earn a lot of money, to be conditional economists or lawyers. You can leave to work as a sales assistant and at the same time ride, become a sponsored rider, and then do something in the same industry. There is no longer a mandatory installation, it is important to be a serious guy, wear a suit, drive a car and preferably up to 30 marry and have children. I am not in favor of the fact that there are creative professions, and all the others are gray mass. Not. But now there is an opportunity to do what you want, people leave with big salaries and do what they have a soul for. Even if you have no money for a car and you take the subway, it’s ok. The main thing is that now people are increasingly listening to themselves, and I certainly like it.
About mobile fast food
I had the idea of "partisan" fast food: come to the club, trade in burgers and leave. You post to instagram a photo with the signature, where you will be today, or "Where today is fun, I will be there." In any southern cities, in Cyprus, you walk along the street of all clubs and bars, and next is a street with every Hawk. You're all so hungry, swirling youngster, take a burger, potatoes and all sorts of nishtyaki, you sit down, eat, and after that you go home happy, drunk, and go to bed. Here it is, alas, completely illegal.
About recoil
When you feed people, the joke is that you get feedback very quickly. And if you do it well, then you get a good feedback immediately. The musician enters the stage and draws energy from the audience - these are some incredible feelings that I want to go through. Here, in principle, the same thing: you cooked, gave. When we were forbidden to burn coal in Gorky Park, we had to quickly go buy a small electric grill. I ran in turns and said that we had an unpleasant situation and would have to wait a very long time, but no one left. Then I was ready to kiss everyone. The ability to immediately receive feedback is very cool.
About male and female food
A burger is a win-win American classic and it's such a manly story. Girls want something lighter, more beautiful: organic, salads. And men do the normal grub. But I still love organic matter and herbs, I have long been fascinated by yoga. In general, I have always been a lover of healthy food, loved to read labels, check the expiration date. Fudzadrot There is a cool Vipassana practice that I would be interested to go through. The main thing is that you are still not practicing anything: you do not write, do not listen, do not talk, just walk, sit. You are isolated from everything except yourself, your thoughts. Immediately everything will fall into place.
