Perfume, awakening sensuality
The art of making aromatic compositions initially had a sacral purpose, and only priests of cults had its subtleties and secrets. So in the Latin language appeared profumum, or perfume, literally translated "through the smoke." Much work has been written about the development of perfumery, some recipes of ancient compositions have come down to us, and modern perfumers sometimes do not spare the time and money to recreate, for example, the spirits of the queen of Egypt Nefertari. Aromatic art became firmly established in everyday life, first by nobles, and then by ordinary people. Oil and smoking compositions were used in medicine and as a means of hygiene, and then for flavoring non-religious premises and the body.
Once upon a time, people noticed that the aromas of plants and flowers, wood, resins, balsams and animal ingredients affect their emotional state and mood differently. Some soothe and relieve fatigue, others tone up, help to concentrate, others excite sensuality in a person and inflame passion. Many aromatic compositions include ingredients that are commonly considered aphrodisiacs (i.e., increasing libido) in society: rose, sandalwood, jasmine, ylang-ylang, musk, cinnamon, nutmeg, patchouli, tuberose, bergamot, and others. A whole section of alternative medicine, aromatherapy, is studying the effect of essential oils on the physical state of human health. But modern perfumery is for the most part a product of the chemical industry, therefore, aroma psychology is concerned with the influence of odors on a person’s emotional states. I would like to clarify that aphrodisiac flavors are an individual concept. For someone, for example, not a rose and bergamot, but jasmine and cinnamon can act. It is important to remember that if you or your partner do not like the flavor, no matter how strong aphrodisiac is considered, nothing will come of it. The placebo effect is also able to play an important role.
Briefly, we already talked about the existence of brands that specialize in creating scents for sex and other love amusements. Romantic, atmospheric, brutal, playful - there are plenty to choose from for partners who want to diversify their lives with new emotions. Anticipating the question of pheromones, should clarify that it will not be about them, since their effectiveness still remains under the deepest doubt. Synthetic pheromones, which manufacturers offer in copies of famous perfumes for a ridiculous price, are devoid of any meaning. Pheromone is a unique smell for each organism, possessing low intensity, but tremendous power. It is captured by special olfactory receptors and transmits information to the brain.
Experts and researchers have not yet come to the exact definition of a pheromone, and some consider them to be fragments of hormones, and by chemical composition they can be steroids, saturated acids, aldehydes or alcohols, and even a mixture of these substances. At best, androsterone, the sex boar pheromone, can be added to such perfumes, but it doesn’t excite females of the same species, but it will paralyze them well, making it easier for the male to woo. One last thing: pheromones cannot be stored and are immediately destroyed in ethyl alcohol. As a rule, perfume with pheromones are sold in roller-sticks, which gives us hope for an oil base or other chemical environment-solvent in which they could be stored, but there is no scientific or practical evidence of this.
In general, speculation with a sexual theme is a goldmine for a producer. Many brands create collections dedicated to love and romantic relationships, often provocative and ambiguous, as is now fashionable. But do not forget that such spirits, like all other brands of the brand, not related to this topic, is the result of the work of the creative department and perfumer, who realize their personal vision. However, I managed to find brands that approached the topic of sex so closely and so widely trying to reach it that they did not forget about high-quality perfumery products, realizing the great strength and role of fragrances in intimate relationships.
The French brand YESforLOV, created by Parisian hedonist Christian Palix, who suddenly thought that the French did not justify their title as the pioneers of the sexual revolution, which they also announced about fifty years ago, approached the matter thoroughly and seriously. An impressive line-up contains hygienic products, lubricants, soft perfume for intimate areas, black satin ribbon for eyes and hands, a feather, massage candles, invisible pencils, a flashlight showing them, lipstick for hot and cold kisses, and, of course, two fragrances. Palix approached the idea of enjoying love so thoroughly that he practically made it a difficult game, where the edges of the allowed are blurred, the rules are fuzzy, and the partners just lose their heads from the detail and unusual process. Under the auspices of the brand even the music album "Lov 'Sounds" was released - a collection of electronic music for understandable purposes. The hedonist cannot but strive for the best, so Philippe Meo worked on the YESforLOV packaging, specializing in design concepts for luxury goods, and Parisian biologists, dermatologists and cosmetologists had a hand in developing intimate tools.
But back to the flavors. Perfumery composition Rejouissance is developed in two variations: female and male. Their author is Matilda Biscot, a perfumer who created, for example, the orange scent of pumpkin pie with oranges and cream Tilda Swinton Like This for Etat Libre d'Orange. Rejouissance in both versions is a gourmet flavor, built on plum chords watered with viscous, clear sugar syrup, cloudberry liqueur, and tons of biscuit patchouli. He is intoxicating and as if squeezing reality to the size of the room, and even the bed. The female version ends with musk, which smells of a weary, flushed, smooth female body, while the men's one continues with the sound of blackcurrant liqueur and cinnamon, ending with resinous notes. I can not say whether partners who should think about something else will see the difference in flavors - they are very similar, but upon close examination, the difference is obvious. Frankly speaking, I was skeptical about the quality of the aromas, but these are really worthy compositions.
I have to admit that I would venture to put the male version of Rejouissance on people. Female - absolutely about sex: frantic, intimate, animal. Both flavors seem to impose a screen that, for a hypothetical observer, makes the picture more beautiful, more refined, aesthetic, and I am ready to fully agree that this beautiful, shimmering pleasure can be called hedonistic and even luxurious. If you've ever seen X-Art clips, then here it is. The remaining products of the line are flavored with the formula of female Rejouissance, but in low concentration. In addition to all of the above, you can find a perfume for bed linen, edible powder and a nourishing buttock cream in the brand - the author has a great sense of humor.
The second mark is made by the Neotantric Swedes led by Jesper Ronbank. They are engaged exclusively in perfumery, transferring their ideas about spiritual lovers, which are the basis of tantra, into the language of aromas. There are currently nine of them, from which I chose the most interesting. The epithet "sexual" we award fragrances in which we explicitly or implicitly sense the presence of animal components. Especially sensitive to animalistic notes, according to my observations, were women. The words "musk", "cibetin", "African stone" act on them in a magical way - like the Neotantric Manic Love Woman. The floral musky scent is composed as if for one sole purpose - to seduce. Body chords, rose and fruit undertones. But if in other compositions, musk is often hidden behind the other ingredients, leaving its sounding for the base, here it is specifically highlighted, framed in flowers. In a word, it is a girl of the Amazahi tribe decorated for the wedding. The tart musky onset continues in a floral-fruit union with the addition of a light woody herbal bitterness.
Manic Love Man is another story. The powdery men's fragrance is created according to the rule of close contrast with Manic Love Woman. He supports the general theme of intimacy and candor, but not so explicitly. Vanilla-patchoulio heart can fill the edge of teeth in an hour, but many ladies, as I understand it, like the sound. Unlike his couple, Manic Love Man has a couple of surprises up his sleeve. A few minutes after applying the aroma carrot enters the field of smell. Quite a reliable, intelligible, not completely cleared of the earth. A slightly sweet chord of cardamom is added to the carrots, in order to move on to the patchoulio-vanilla theme. This may seem strange, but I do not find the sound ridiculous or disharmonious, on the contrary - it has originality, novelty and even intellectuality. However, no one can guarantee that even Neotantric or YESforLOV smells will certainly suit you, the main thing is to choose such fragrances that you and your partner will like, and their use will really add to the emotions of new faces. It could be anything - all of a sudden the both of you are excited by the flavor of popcorn with daffodils.
