Amanda Murphy, the model that opened and closed Prada
Under the heading "Fresh Blood", we usually represent young professionals who have not yet become familiar in the pages of magazines, but will certainly have time to do this in the near future. Today, our heroine is American Amanda Murphy, who opened and closed the Prada FW 2013 show.

Now there are more newcomers with looks that refer to the models of the nineties. More recently, we talked about Lisa Verberg, reminiscent of Linda Evangelist. Now she found a worthy competitor - American Amanda Murphy, also similar to the Canadian top model. The girl, whose full name is Amanda Gene Murphy, was born in Chicago, but German and Irish blood flows in her veins. You can’t call her a newcomer: the model came to the casting and signed a contract with Factor agency in Chicago, and then with IMG in New York five years ago. |
In the SS 2009 season, she made her debut at the New York and London shows, making one show at each of the Fashion Weeks. Then she starred for Marie Claire, Cover and Elle. After a seemingly successful start, Amanda disappeared and returned only at the end of last year. In December, Murphy walked on the Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2013 show and shot for the lookouts of the collections of the same season 10 Crosby Derek Lam and Proenza Schouler. With the latter, the girl continued to cooperate at the shows of the main collections in New York in February. Having skipped the London shows, Amanda went to Milan, where she opened and closed Prada yesterday - and this, as we know, is the most enviable work of the model on the catwalk. We are unlikely to see her at the Milan shows, as Murphy signed an exclusive contract with the brand, but it is possible that the girl will still make herself felt at Paris Fashion Week. |
