The Web published a version of "The Last Jedi" without women
In December, the Last Jedi, the eighth episode of Star Wars, filmed by Ryan Johnson (which we talked about here) appeared on the screens. Opinions about the film were divided - in particular, one of the users of The Pirate Bay was outraged by the fact that there were too many scenes with women in The Last Jedi, and he published his own "defeminized" version of the picture on the Web.
Since the official release of the film on DVD will take place only on April 3, the video consists of scenes recorded on the phone in the cinema. It got the name "The Last Jedi: De-Feminized Fanedit" and lasts only 46 minutes - including the author of the video cut out of the picture all the scenes with Admiral Hold, female pilots and officers, "commanding people around and expressing their opinions in general", the mission in Kanto-Byte, as well as episodes with Leia: “Leia does not reproach Po for anything, does not ask him any questions and does not lower her rank,” the video description says. "In addition, when in the picture I met the scene with a woman, whose opinion could be replaced by a man’s statement, I also cut it out. It works just fine," the author noted.
Due to the poor quality of the shooting, The Pirate Bay user suggests watching the video not as a full-fledged blockbuster, but as a "non-existent alternative version of the Star Wars episode."
Ryan Johnson himself commented on the "film" like this:
